Hey bro its awesome! can u see out of the eyes?
Thanks! It's definitely based on the Raimi movies suit, but I included in in this thread more for the non-movie elements: The wider lenses, the matte white eyes, the flat printed webbing, etc. This is amazing, looks smiliar to the costumes Tobey Mcguire wore in the earlier Spiderman movies.
Thank you! Yes I can indeed see out of the eyes, or there wouldn't be much point in having them. :lol Visibility's actually pretty good. The material is a fine metal mesh that's been painted white on the outside and darkened on the inside.Hey bro its awesome! can u see out of the eyes?
Wow those look great!i cant believe i havent posted in here yet. i dont have a regular spidey suit, but ive got a scarlet spider! lol. NO HATING. also, ive got a fairly nice eye frame selection, with a few more that i just made some templates for the other day. ive also been pounding thru some 3d models of some logos to have them CNC'd, and then molded and cast for suits. pictures below!
ive also just sent off a model to shapeways to get a 3d printed spider tracer. im really stoked to see how that turns out. its on the picture with the logos, but its facing the wrong way, so it looks funky.
eye frames!

yes, i do have the superior spidey chest and back designs. again, NO HATING!!
I usually don't say these things, but, i think i just wet myself because of the awesomeness!!!!!!Figured I would toss up a pic of the 2 newest frame styles I have available now.
The thinner ones are a Raimi style and the larger bottom ones are a custom set that Rinzlertron had requested- they are a Carlo Barberi version of Spider Man. This particular style was only used in a few of his comics where Deadpool teamed up with Spider Man.
I will be making a JY thread shortly with all the types I currently have and will see about moving all the threads into one to make things simpler.
And I'm just doing some testing on a few different meshes and how they handle paint - soon I'll be able to provide it as well.
Quick question, If i am wearing a face shell but i plan on gluing the lenses to the actual suit, would you suggest that I use the urethane style lenses for people who don't use a face shell or the onyx lenses made to heat up and bend around a face shell?
I get what you mean. But my main concern is, will the rubber ones form to the face shell as well? It's totally a preference thing. I normally suggest the resin for people using a shell because then you can heat form them to fit the shell exactly. If a person is not using a shell, then the rubber ones are nice because they will form to the face.
It's one of those decisions that you have to decide on yoruself, I can't really say that one would be better than the other.
That's what i wanted to know! Thanks!of course!
