I’m happy to post that we are down to the last 10 pairs of goggles, and will be wrapping this up as fast as possible!

We’ve also had an incident of one of you using threats and ultimatums via PM to extort $$ and I’ll be altering mods etc, though I don’t expect any results that I can’t produce on my own. I just shake my head at 2005 level social media:forum tactics… ugh.

Very happy to be bringing this long over due run to a close.

Many of us had to start a PayPal case to get movement.

And being told that Etsy buyers were going out first because Etsy has consequences, and RPF doesn’t, is a little insulting too.

it was a learning experience for me.

Rhett, please post here and tell me exactly when I will be refunded for the 2 damaged googles I shipped you back in July. It has been 4 months since you got them back.

Judging by the posts after yours, things still aren’t exactly running smoothly.
 
It's a tough call but I am glad that I at least got my (rushed) pair. There are a few things I would have loved to order off of him but honestly after this I can't.
 
Started on the list below 5th place. Now sitting near the end. Three dates for shipment have been given. Each passed with nothing shipped. Bummer.
Well he was on here viewing this thread 42 minute ago… sad that he chooses not to address things. A lot of old time members have been throwing away their reputations lately. It’s a shame.

I can't fathom how someone can lie nearly every post with updates/progress then get upset with people who are tired of the unprofessional behavior. I don't think anyone still cares about the "included for inconvenience" cheap plastic stand, and matchbook he thinks is worth $20. I can go without the likely inaccurate head strap. Hey he has 4 listed on Etsy again. Seems this is turning into a scam since he has time to make them to sell (at a even cheaper price) there but gives everyone the run around here. Sad.
 
While I did receive my goggles, they were very obviously assembled with haste as one of the entire eye-pieces was disconnected when I opened the box. While overall, that was an easy issue to fix, the fact that they showed up in such a state felt a bit like a last straw. I've purchased several items from Rhett and every single time there are unreasonable delays and lots of explanation, yet he never seems to stop posting more items for sale even when he is super far behind on getting things finished. Running any kind of business alone is really really hard, and sometimes you gotta know when to stop taking pre-orders. It sucks because there have been other items offered I would have loved to buy, but the whole experience isn't worth it.

And yes, I join the chorus that find it a little ridiculous that most of these delays are now being chalked up to two items that weren't even offered in the original listing. I literally never plan to use the stand I was given.

This is a perfect example of how a well-meaning seller can end up damaging their reputation and business. We often see people start with good intentions, but ultimately fail to deliver. A key reason for this is they fall behind on orders, deplete their deposits, and run out of funds to complete the work. Feeling pressured, they begin selling new items to raise more cash, which creates a vicious cycle. They prioritize new sales over fulfilling past orders, and each time, the situation worsens. Eventually, they can't recover, panic sets in, and they vanish.

Everyone left on the list isn't getting what they paid for anyway. I jump on since I was promised something exclusive and limited from a master mold. Likely only those who got their "rushed" items a long time ago are from this mold. The rest of us are just getting more screwed by the day. Another month or so will pass, and he will put out another false shipping time and then stay silent after failing to deliver again. I believe you are right since he accepted markpoon's return but still has failed to refund after six months. He then whines that he is being "threatened" by someone he essentially stole from. How dense do you got to be.
