Sensei's Divining Top. Any tips?

So I thought it high time I learn how to cast/mold something and I figured a Sensei's Divining Top would be a good place to start.

I'm a huge Magic nerd and I think making several of these would be pretty easy to sell locally due to the different Magic communities and playgroups around. I think a good place to start would be to make a 3d model and 3d print it and mold that. I've got experience making 3d models but I have no idea what I'm doing with 3d printing, or molding. Does anyone have some good resources I can't start with? Or just general ideas on the project.
