Scumbag Takes Credit for MCL34N's Spidey Suit...Let's Stop Him!

ive seen ichigo quite a few times on here, if i recall. now i have to use the search function on that.
he needs to be banned immediately

This was in his INT thread-

yes but in the end I'm happy about the detail and everything the model was challenging to make but I'm really happy about the outcome

(worst part is eventho I modeld it I might even order a set myself haha)

He must have just commissioned them.

Just curious, in twitter, did he actually say "here's a suit that I built myself" or did he say "here's my suit" because the two are very different. If the suit in the pic is indeed the suit he commissioned MCL for, then there's really not much of a sin in saying "here's my suit" as it is indeed a suit of his. Well, once he pays the balance that is.

If I'm being too optimistic, please forgive me, but it seems there might be some room here for interpretation. He may just be a really eager cosplayer who is excited to show off something that is coming his way soon.

I know *I* would be if I had a suit that great looking in transit :D Awesome work, by the way, MCL34N.

It is fairly ambiguous, but his tweet to Marc Webb is the key comment-

"@MarcW - Hey there, I have been working on the following Spidey costume would love yo know your thoughts http://pic.twitter.com/RlrAdVtB"

And he also has been posting pictures on his facebook, and specifically setting the security so that I can't see them, and claiming he made it.

Well, if you never send the suit, he will never be able to keep the lie alive. He will forever have to claim the few photos he has and will never be able to show other photos or wear it in public. Wish him good luck making one as awesome as your work and cut ties :)

Here are all of his tweets...seems pretty unambiguous to me:

3) My suit on the right and the movie suit on the left Twitter / G_Thomson1986: My suit on the right and t

He consistently refers to it as "my suit" and asks for approval on its status, he's used El Fett's image as his avatar, says "I have been working on the following Spidey costume," AND is telling people he can make them a Spidey suit, using MCL34N's photos as proof.

It doesn't get much more cut and dry than that, the guy is a creep and deserves to be shut down before he can scam anyone out of a single cent...or take any more credit away from MCL34N's incredible piece.

EDIT: It's also worth noting that it seems he used to go under the username "Quentin_Macleod." So add that to his list of aliases.

As I mentioned over on the build thread, the photos are posted via PhotoBucket...

PhotoBucket's posted Terms of Use restrict people from posting "anything that you didn't create", "contains or promotes something you know is false or misleading" and "includes a photograph or video of another person that you have posted without that person's consent."

I'd reach out to PhotoBucket and ask them to pull the images. That will also kill his links (and the link to any of the re-tweets that have been sent).

It will likely have to be MCL34N that send that note as you would need to be the 'content owner' for the complaint.

Good luck... Hope this helps!

I've been looking into it, but I can't find his specific photobucket account name? Do you know how I might point them in his direction?

Not sure on that one... but regarding TWITTER here is what THEIR Terms of Use say:

9. Copyright Policy
Twitter respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Services to do the same. We will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable law and are properly provided to us. If you believe that your Content has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide us with the following information: (i) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf; (ii) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (iii) identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material; (iv) your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and an email address; (v) a statement by you that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (vi) a statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

We reserve the right to remove Content alleged to be infringing without prior notice, at our sole discretion, and without liability to you. In appropriate circumstances, Twitter will also terminate a user’s account if the user is determined to be a repeat infringer. Our designated copyright agent for notice of alleged copyright infringement appearing on the Services is:

Twitter, Inc.
Attn: Copyright Agent
1355 Market Street, Suite 900
San Francisco, CA 94103
Email: copyright@twitter.com

I'd send them an email as well... see if you can get them pulled and have him suspended or terminate his username.

This is something that is unspeakable!!! If there's something I hate, it's people like this!
Really think you should check out what 'indiefilmgeek' posted. Great work finding the copyright infringement rules on both Photobucket and Twitter dude!

But yeah I'll see if I can get in on this Hashtag business too since I hate people stealing others work or claiming it is there own. (Trust me, I know the feeling) I don't even use Twitter much but in this case, I'll make an exception. This guy won't last for long!

I've reported his current account to Paypal (Learned he's had several accounts shut down) and I'm trying to see if there's anything that can be done to stop him. That is honestly more important than my pictures being used. If he can't accept money, he can't scam anyone.

Where theres smoke there's fire, we as intelligent human beings know EXACTLY what he's up too. I'm just glad someone was there to catch him, hopefully before he got some poor guys money as he was "selling" suits apparently. Nice to know the RPF'rs take care of their own.

wow, the stupidity level on this guy...I'm speechless. MCL34N made an awesome suit, and then the hard work was STOLEN, I am ANGRY, these people deserve to be destroyed :angry

Finally heard back from Ichigo. He claims that he didn't do any of the things he is accused for. He says he doesn't even have a twitter because it's stupid. One problem with this though, if you look at his Facebook (I'm sure its long gone by now) He has a status bragging about how Marc Webb Tweeted him. He really is probably one of the least intelligent scammers I've ever encountered

Here we have it folks! Definitive proof this guys ******-Baggery. This is a screen cap from Grahams Facebook where he admits he contacted Marc Webb. It isnt the same post I was talking about (It was a blatant status update braggin that Marc Webb Tweeted him back) probably because he deleted that one. But my friend found another piece of hard proof-

Bye Graham! Wish I could say I will miss ya!
