Building the Super Hero BODY for My Spidey Suit.

Hopefully I'm not stepping on anyone's toes here. In my defense, I tried searching for fitness related threads before creating my own and I didn't find any that were current. The reason I wanted to create this thread was for people to share their progress in regards to getting in shape for their suit/costume. A little bit about me. I have always been quite obsessed with Spider-Man. As a child those were the only comics I would buy. So when they finally started putting out movies, needless to say I was pretty stoked. I remember how impressed I was with the physique of Toby Maguire for the Spider-Man movies. Andrew Garfield also dons a pretty impressive physique in the "Amazing" series. I myself am working towards the build of Spidey in the comics. I'm a certified Personal Trainer so observing and picking apart Spidey's physique was just all part of what I already do on a daily basis. He was built very much like a sprinter. He has round shoulders, muscular arms, small waist, V-shaped torso, muscular quads and calves. I myself have been going through a series of workouts that place emphasis on those muscles. So far I am pretty happy with my progress. In just a few months, I have put on about 10 pounds (172-183) and added some good size to my chest, shoulders, arms, back, and legs. Downside of bulking is I'm not as lean as I once was. The type of workout I have been doing is a 4 day a week split where I do Upper Body and Lower Body twice a week. Most of my lifts revolve around compound movements. Only isolation exercises I do are for my arms and calves. I tried uploading the photo that I am basing my physique off of, as well as my progress so far but I couldn't get it to work. I will also be (trying to) post photos of my build as I complete it too. I hope to see/hear from many more people in regards to their progress with their own workouts. I am also more than willing to share the workout that I have been doing or any other fitness tips. If you are interested in it, just PM me.

10 lbs is quite a lot for that time period, nice work. One thing I didn't see here in your post (which is just as important to building a Superhero body as exercise regimen) is diet. That's what I really like about the Spidey fitness thread, there's a good balance of exercise and meal plans.

What's your nutrition look like? How many net calories are you taking in per day? What macronutrient ratio are you currently aiming for? I'd love to know more about what your nutrition plan and your timeline is.

I also like the more muscular comic Spider-Man, I'm an easy gainer though so I have to watch my intake like crazy. I suited up for ECCC last month, I was pretty happy with my overall physique, but I'd like to do more leg work. In some comics his thighs and calves were absolutely HUGE!

Thank you guys for your responses. If it's easier I can just post in the existing Spidey Fitness thread. I just didn't know it was still being used that often. As for my macros, I'm currently doing a higher carb diet since that seems to work best for me. I would say my ratios are close to 50% carbs, 25% fat, and 25% protein. Majority of my carbs I'm getting from veggies, potatoes, fruits, brown rice and quinoa. I rarely eat bread or pastas. As for fats, I cook with a lot of olive oil, coconut oil, eat tons of almonds and nuts. Protein I get from everywhere. Cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, meats, eggs. On a workout day I consume roughly 3800 calories a day and 3300 on non-workout days. I have a spreadsheet that I created that calculates macros and calorie requirements for bulking. If anyone is interested in know their numbers I just need to know your daily activity level (scale of 1-10) and current body fat percentage.
