i know there have been many pics pop up through the years, and ive seen them most id say, but i was wondering if i could request those of you with some good reference and detailed pics to post them here?

im about to recieve a pretty good conition original graflex, and i want to try to capture the look and feel of the original as best i can,

i mean dirt grime scratches, or lack there of... :love

so please, feel free to show what ya got.

if you dont want to post public... PMs are welcome. B)

sweet, thats from kary kurtz's collection right?

the one that they speculate has had grips that arent screen accurate added after filming...

KEEP EM COMIN... :D

I have a lot of reference pics. I'll see what I have for this saber.

It might take till monday though.

I checked my pics and I don't have that many good references of that one.

The VD and the Toe Pics above are real good. I have all the Kurtz ones, but I doubt that one was ever used. To many oddities.

I'd go on the original photos... there is no guarantee the t-track on the Kurtz/Joiner is authentic.

Then again, finish your saber as you like. I actually prefer the chunk of metal D-ring attachent on the Kurtz/Joiner over the bent sheet metal hanger found in the publicity photos.

What would be ideal is if we all focused on getting some T-track made that matches the remaining sabers.

well i was realy hoping that there was at least 1 clear color shot, to show blemishes scratches etc.

i guess the reason i dont have them/havent seen them... is because they dont exist... :(

oh well, i know it wasnt pristine.

and i know it wasnt all pitted and grimey like the kurtz saber... im guessing mine will arrive perfectly in between... which is probably pretty screen accurate. :lol

so...

unless one of you is hiding something.

im just gonna wing it, i was just hoping to get as close as possible.

what do you guys think i should do about the grips?

get saberfreaks, and paint and round out the underside?

go with one of the staple, albeit incorrect kits?

keep waiting for the T-track project to come to fruition? (if ever)

I was at the seattle Sci-Fi museum yesterday and they had a ESB Vader and an ANH Luke they claimed were screen used. The Luke looked pretty authentic. Unfortunately they will not let you take pics. :(
