RPFers going to DragonCon, shout out!

I'm definitely going to be taking a lot of photos at the convention, but more for myself than for others. If you guys want, I can share some of my shots with the Facebook page after the convention is over (though I don't know how great they are. Okay, I just want to say that the new registration system at D*Con totally rocked! I got in line at 5:40pm and was out by 5:55 -- 15 minutes! That is the fastest I've ever gotten my badge in the 12 years I've been coming to tis shindig. Way to go D*Con!!!!!

Broadcasting from Atlanta. At hotel. Was in luck: has internet access, and I happen to be in the middle of a Free Internet week. Dad and I got back from the convention, spent most of day doing "Star Trek" related stuff, bought some items from the venders. Ran into Jaedena and Talisen during the trek through the venders (great Xena and Wolverine outfits, BTW guys), who asked me if there was ever an official meetup set.

I'll be trying to catch one of the "Farscape" panels tomorrow, as well as some autographs and hit the venders again. So, I'll be wearing my Midnight Riders T-shirt (see below), and still sporting my RPF ID (in fact, I've got some pictures of a couple of costumers, and recommended one guy who had a Portal gun and outfit check out the RPF).

FYI... Sorry to flake out, but my in-laws had an emergency and had to cancel their trip down to TN to stay with the kids. That effectively killed our trip down to Atlanta and the Con this year. :confused

I'll be watching for all those updates on FB and we'll just get to begin our 2012 D*con plans a bit earlier than most folks! See you all then! :unsure

Ran into Jaedena and Talisen again. If I run into them again tomorrow, I'm going to get my dad to take a picture of us. Could only get two autographs because of the pricing (Olmos and Lloyd), but I also got the chance to ask them for any advice for anyone who is going into the director's chair for the first time (I figure that'd be useful info). Got to see some of the parade, spotting who (I think) are members of the RPF in the DeLorean Time Machine (I recalled the call out here at the RPF). Found a couple of Cosplayers with some decent costumes and props, recommended they check out the RPF (that includes two Marty McFlys, a Doc Brown, a Chell and a John Crichton). Got my dad to swing by QMx, saw prototypes of the Doctor Who sonic screwdriver (while my dad checked out the Enterprise model). He's got a whole bunch of old-school comics (literally, old school, as in 1960s on back). We're going to be geared for tomorrow, as we're going to be leaving around lunch time (so we can make it back home, since he's got work tomorrow).

BTW, tomorrow I will be sporting my Flynn's Arcade T-shirt (the official one, not a replica).

Additional Edit: How the heck do I keep missing a lot of the RPFers other than Jaedena and Talisen? I mean, I'm looking at the Facebook page, and seeing some of the others I somehow keep missing.

Okie dokie, here is Day 3, the final day for me. Hopefully I'll run into more of you guys today. I'll have my RPF badge out and will be wearing my Flynn's Arcade shirt (as mentioned before).

I've been posting some stuff on the RPF Facebook page. But those are with my iPhone 3gs, so they're not as good quality. There were a lot of things I wanted nicer photos of, so I'll transfer them from my real camera to my computer on Monday night and share.
