Rorschach grappling gun build.

I'm thinking of making a replica of Rrorschach's grappling gun from Watchmen. I'm not going to make it fire or anything. but i plan to do it out of household items.

what do you suggest using. i'm thinking of butchering a water gun for the tank but thats all i can think of right now

Top of my head:

Water gun - trigger/grip, possible body of the gun

Toy gun - same as a bove.

Various bottles, connectors, and doomaflichies from around your home?

I'm sure somebody else will chime in, but thats what I think of first when looking at the device.

The Co2 tank end sticking out the back looks like it could be an airsoft grenade launcher grenade.

You sir, have inspired em to make this prop. Ya got me thinking, and now I'm going to make my own version of it, using only what I have around my apt.

I'm going to stick with the water gun idea. just have to find the right one with the right sized tank.

Those tanks look like ones from the tiny (older) Super Soaker water guns, either the 10 or the 30.
