I have self-argued in the past over whether or not to buy a pre-existing Panasonic RN-305 as a base for my plan, but decided not to for keeping my expenses low, so I have been working on a 3D-modelled CLAMSHELL of the RN-305 Micro-cassette recorder, using actual pictures, basically, to help retrace EVERYTHING, every shape and every detail into my recreation of the prop seen in the SAW franchise. I DO have plans for it to be functional as a "Tape Player" but the recorder's shell is going to actually encase more modern tech, (Digital Recording) as opposed to using a micro-cassette, which are not much in demand, unfortunately, in my opinion. I may be over-thinking it here, but I will see about having an actual cassette look like it's playing in the player, like, putting a little motor inside to move the "transport-pegs" so recorder looks like it's playing, but it's actually from the player itself with a push of a button, tape or no tape and the tape can be eject-able. There is still a lot of work to be done on the 3D model, before I can 3D print it, but I will leave a screenshot of what's done so far. I hope you enjoyed my post!
