RomanProps: STEEL IS REAL V2

Hey Halliwax ! Good timing, I just saw a commercial the other day that would help you out. It was for Carpe Antiperspirant. They make all sorts of them for hands, underarms, and yes, even FEET! HA! ;)

If you were being serious though, is there really a thing called a 'feet humidifier'? Or was that just a crazy auto-correct error and you were trying to say "dehumidifier"?

I can't imagine having a humidifier in an already damp place, so I'm guessing that was it. Made me laugh one way or the other!

LOL damn autocorrect!!!! Lol!!!

Yeah looking this over guys.. I seriously don’t think the booster section needs blueing/aging...

I’m going to do it anyway because I will be painting mine in the end, and just to give everyone an example

But the more I look at it the more the color seems perfect right out of the box

If we just polish the rings, it should be perfect

I got to finish up a V2 this week, then starting on this next weekend

Weathering is coming along great...After I dinged it up a little with the “hammer and anger” technique, I applied some aluminum black and super blue to darken it up.
looking good I think ;)

Erlomd I saw your nice shiny “rings” and I was inspired...

Its going to break my heart to put the dents in it now haha

Hey zachman8910 ! I dunno, though it does look cool, I think it's a little more Buck Rogers than Star Wars.

Maybe with a little paint and some grime rubbed in it, it will look a bit more like a Star Wars Blaster. ;)

HA! Too Funny!

Craziest Hole Saw I ever did see! Great result on your polishing!

Zachman8910, that’s so awesome!!! Yeah, I would feel bad putting dents and knicks on it now!

I never polished mine though lol
I just sanded it a bit. I actually dulled it with super blue. Just came out shiny in the pics :p

And nice rig you came up with! Going to try that one day!

Progress pics so far...finished the weathering and the paint grime process.

I need gaffers tape and the D ring installed to finish this hilt up. (Until the RCC chamber shows up)

some progress pics

So the V2 booster/pommel section is slightly shorter than the MK1.
I dont have a goth or shtok chassis to test fit.
Has anyone had any luck fitting one in?
My original plan was to put in rudy’s CC and go full Neopixel.
Im thinking now I’ll have to settle with putting the CC into my MK1.

On a different note, Im hopefully going to try my hand at bending an emitter this weekend.

Did mine up this past weekend and I'm pretty happy with it. Excuse the bathroom photoshoot, it's the only room in my apartment with decent lighting, lol. Got a shot with my AS V2 for comparison. I decided to make this an ANH/RotJ hybrid. Even got my first bit of paint chipping, I dropped the emitter when I was putting it all back together. The only thing I haven't decided yet is if I'm gonna put gaffer's tape on the neck

Thank you!

I've got three V2s now to go with my three Graflexes, but while I'm pretty happy with my Graflexes I still have an itch for more V2s. I need a more screen-accurate one (you can see in that pic that the stencils weren't properly aligned, which I noticed right before I started painting) and a truly ANH V2 and I'm still thinking about getting one chrome plated for a Jacen Solo-inspired one.

I full-on got the V2 sickness now

Hey guys, Thanks to Halliwax for spending some time on skype with me to diligently take exact measurements of the Romans, Steel V2, I can now say that the closest match for stencils are my Starkiller 2018 versions. I haven't made a specific version for Roman's because I understood the run to be quite small. But comparing the measurements to all of my other versions, the Starkiller is very close.
There are a couple of pieces that are a tiny bit too big (the ends will just overlap a bit) and one or two that are a bit too small (you can manually fill with black if it's needed, but mostly it's blank space in those areas anyway.
So Starkiller's should be a very very close fit, should you want to use stencils to finish these out.
Thanks!
