Rogue One Concept Rebel Helmet

We all know that the Rebel helmets used in Rogue One were made from M1 helmets. However, in the attached concept art the base helmet is quite a bit different than an M1. It's fairly symetrical, has ear cutouts, and has both front and rear flares.

I've become infatuated with this design and I'm wondering if anyone knows if this concept was based on a real world helmet? I'm 99% sure it's not, and was just made up for the artwork but I figured that I would ask. The closest thing that I can find in terms of a real world helmet is maybe a French M51 helmet with the ear portions cut out. It looks a bit too deep, but I feel like the front and rear flares are close enough Anyway, what are your thoughts?

The hard part of the helmet looks to be the same one used by Rebel soldiers in Rogue One.

The cloth cap is the same kind of modified AN-H-15 flight cap worn by the Rebel troopers on Endor.

More accurately, it’s this cloth cap style that was also in Rogue One, which looks to be pretty much the same as the Endor trooper version, but with brown side panels instead of tan.

The concept art has a small brim on the rear, too. I agree with the hard-hat or forestry helmet suggestions.

Following Mara Jade's Father's link, there's a couple of things called "Chainsaw Helmets" that have the front and rear brims and the reinforced crest visible in the art:

This particular one even has it's own built-in greeblie, and the mask attachment points would probably be useful for attaching the other greeblie.
