Hope Jez doesn't mind me borrowing one of his pics.
I've got the Riddell stormtrooper mini helmet, and it is an idealized ROTJ , symmetrical bucket. It's got the more detailed ear cap covers and the tube stripes are actual vents/ openings in the helmet.

I think they realize it was his ability not to speak English well and he may not have understood what they could talk about for some reason. It's not something someone commonly does.

Unlike with GB16, I gotta stop you there. This has been denied and debunked by so many involved with production, it's not even a non-issue -- it's a negative issue. *heh* It was mainly a matter of realizing they needed a bit more than they thought they had, and the actors had moved on to other projects so scheduling the ones they needed to be there when they needed them dragged on long enough to be commented on. Then the internet echo chamber got ahold of it and cue deranged baseless speculation that got repeated down the chain as "fact".

It's gonna be serious and brutal, and it's going to have the sorts of tension-breaking humor moments that humans do. I am not remotely concerned about this one.

Interesting pic of the new TK helmet. While not necessary, imo, I guess that's now what a "canon" trooper helmet looks like up close, since it adds details that weren't very noticeable in the OT.

As for Jyn's disguise, I highly doubt it's that of a pilots. My initial thought was that it was some version of a gunner uniform but even then, I'm not sure. It's certainly has a number of differences from what we've seen. I was thinking there was some version of the gunner in the OT that wore hard armor but I must be wrong on that. I know some wore leather padded "armor", some wore leather jackets and some only wore the jumpsuit (in ROTJ, I think). I originally thought the batons on her back were weapons (part of some sort of SWAT ensemble?) but I guess they could just be used by groundcrew to direct ships or somesuch.
 
Could be anyone but what is the context of that wordage? I seem to recall old rumors (or maybe it was just speculation) that Leia might make some sort of cameo.

Tangentially, I'm pretty sure it's been at least hinted that we would see several familiar characters. Darth Vader (but thankfully not Hayden, Gareth has confirmed) and Mon Mothma are locked in for sure and Bail Organa, Dr. Evazan and Ponda Baba are possibilities based on potential peeks in the BTS reel. I think there had been rumors that Tarkin might make an appearance. Gareth Edwards has also said Han Solo is not in it, which I'm also very glad to hear. Leia is about the only other notable OT character that'd make sense to have an appearance. I had thought maybe some characters from Rebels might make an appearance but it occurred to me that'd potentially spoil the show, considering the show is ongoing and Rogue One almost certainly takes place after the show's timeline or at least the tail end of it.

Yes, I posted the no Han story link. :) And I'm saying Tarkin is in it based on the BTS video, I see a very Tarkin looking guy there. Ponda and Evazan for sure, although I don't know if they will CG Tarkins face though. So this really does sound like they are doing a CG Leia if this film really does end when ANH starts.

If they add Leia, I think they will do it as a hologram as opposed to an actual CG character.
 
People thought someone in the trailer looked like Bail Organa, so if that is true there's no reason Leia couldn't be in it. I think they would avoid that because it's so close to ANH that you're not going to find an actress that looks exactly like Carrie Fisher then. If it was a game (like The Force Unleashed cameo) or a movie that was further back from ANH, I'd say it was more likely. Either that or they'd have to make a CGI Leia.
 
I hope to see Bail Organa, they had so many set up characters in RoTS that were a huge deal for the Rebellion then just made one or two scenes. Well if they have Leia, it'll be hologram, talking with the Rebels about the plans and beaming them to her. I'm guessing Vader is hot on the trail at this point, and seeks out Leia just after hearing the plans were sent to her ship. Maybe it ends with a super intense climax and possible cliffhanger, what if the Rebels dont know they can forward the plans yet? What if it gets waist deep and the plans are sent on a Hail Mary and they think they've failed? Just speculation, I really wanna see the WAR part of a Star Wars film :D
 
Still hope they spend time on alderaan. Place deserves a lot more screen time if it's going to get blown up. For a place supposedly having billions of people on it, we saw it once for a few seconds and saw like 5 people.

Early on I had hoped Mads Mikkelson was Tarkin. He has the cheek bones for it. And that would be beautiful, just imagine at the end of the movie, they're barricaded somewhere, and they sent the information and they're talking to Leia in a hologram, and then when the stormtrooper's are breaking down the doors, a rebel soldier steps into the hologram and says something like,"Princess Leia. We are being assaulted by an Imperial Star Destroyer. They've almost taken out the communi-" and it cuts out and the stormies burst in and the rebels are overrun.
