I completed my Acme Rocket pack kit recently and I must say that it is somewhat difficult to figure out how to display it. I tried a mannequinn but the pack is just too heavy for it. So I thought it would be very cool to have it on display and transport it in a case similar to the one it is in at the beginning of the film. Has anyone ever displayed their Rocket packs in this manner and if so does anyone know where to find a case similar to the one that was used in the film? If anyone could provide screen grabs to the thread for reference I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

I know a fellow finhead created a case a few years ago (check photos)..He custom made his case.
I was interested in purchasing a case a while back, and it looks like they used an old military footlocker in the film. They just painted it burgundy/wine color and slab the lettering on it..
I doubt the rocketeer pack was in the case. If you pay close attention in the film, you will notice that it never showed the rocket pack inside. They just gave that illusion when he place the vacuum in it. The acme pack is wider than the majority of military footlockers out there, so the only thing you can really do is customize it.

Yeah, I pretty much figured I would have to get it custom made. I really need it done so that the pack will fit securely in the case. I just thought it would be cool not only for display but as a means to transport it if I want to wear it at convention. I did the costume at Dragon Con last year and carrying around the pack was always an awkward affair. So, that being said does anyone have any possible sources to get a custom made case?
How about a nice wood display pedestal? A short one, like between 12" to 15" in height, maybe 25" squared, the Rocketeer movie logo on the front and all stained in a nice brown color.
My father owns and operates a cabinet shop and I have talked with him a little bit about making something 'special' to display a Rocketeer setup..but alas, I have yet to buy one of the Acme packs.
