Hi everyone,
its been a while since I have posted anything but I found something noteworthy on the potential origin or maker of the lower harness buckle used in the Rocketeer and 2010.
I found a seat belt with the same markings. I own an original buckle that I bought from Brad Einhorn 13 years ago. I've been looking here and there when I get bored. Sort of a hobby. I'm also the one who discovered the origin of the Geier Roper trigger glove as well as the Speedy No. PC201 airbrush compressor vent fan that is used in the center of the rocketpack. The buckle came to a dead end for me years ago when I linked it to the WW2 German Luftwaffe RZ20 parachute harness. They are very similar and I believe they were the predecessor to the buckle although there are no traceable markings to link them.
This gives me new hope as to the origin. I'd love to at least know who made them, then perhaps someone will find a box of them somewhere in Europe. Based on this it looks like starting in Sweeden is a good first lead. I'm submitting these images to turn this into a crowsourcing effort. Please have at it!! Oh, lastly— to the person who finds a box of these in a barn or a warehouse, please send me one
Regards,
