The problem these days, it seems, is that the script writers are trying too hard to create new "classic one liners" and, unless they have a proven track record or manage to connect with an actor who is able to deliver cheesy lines well, they just feel forced and obvious. It has to happen organically, and you can never really tell what an audience is going to respond to....oh, i long for the days of classic one liners in classic movies that become greater than what they were intended to be...
