Some good news perhaps, then? I think it has potential. The police car looked pretty awesome. Michael Keaton was an odd choice for OCP CEO, IMO.

Knowing Hollywood today that might be where his holster is now. Oh get this: my mom's not a big scifi fan but I showed her the new armor and she goes "that's not Robocop" so when you have people who aren't even fans of the franchise (she does like the Terminator) saying it looks bad you got issues.

I tricked my mom to take me to see the original, seeing it was "R" and I was 12 and couldn't go myself. I told her it was "R" for language....she eventually found out it wasn't JUST the language I always felt the original was like a modern take on The Lone Ranger. I honestly feel they could have just pulled a Lucas, and just redo the special effects on the original and release it as a 25th anniversary edition. I might buy this new one on Blu-ray out of morbid curiosity.

Key to a good reboot/remake is that the character should still be identifiable. If you didn't tell me this is Robocop I'd have no idea who he is. Looks more like Judge Dredd to me.

Crying out their childhood is ruined lmao, your childhood isn't ruined you can still buy the original and you don't have to watch the remake.

******! One photo of a suit that's probably going to get 20mins of screantime if that, or it's a stuntsuit, or it's yet to be CGI augmented.

Thats the point mate, we did grow up, with, dare i say it, memories, of a movie, that contained a Robotic Cop....a Robocop.....with armor, and pistons yeah, a real robot kids, not a really sad and cheap Samus Aran fancy dress costume.
Please excuse us for NOT liking how they have treated this, but im sure itll appeal to the uninitiated noobie 'cop fans that are lining up to buy action figures and download PEP files :lol.

I can honestly say I won't see it. Not that that matters in the big scheme of things, as it'd probably rake in loads of cash, but they won't get mine. Vote with your wallet means absolutely nothing to the money pushers in Hollywood, but it will mean something to me.

This movie will be aimed at the current generation of tweens. It'll be a love story with brooding teens that are actually actors in their mid twenties getting into trouble and RubberCop will show up and set them right.
