Hey robo i have a small problem with the spine , i pepped 4 pices and they are way too small to fit in the back.Any suggestions?

if im right i think robo did that to compensate for glassing and bondo.

Re: robo3687's Pep Files - Iron Man, Star Wars and more...oh my!

here's how the spine is supposed to look when put with everything else

Re: robo3687's Pep Files - Iron Man, Star Wars and more...oh my!

Laveniuk did you scale the arm parts 1st? coz i think the arms would be way too big if they weren't scaled. Look for the previous posts with pics on it you'll see what i mean.

@azurial: good point dude. i think that's what robo's intention would be.

No i didnt scale the arms. but i dont think they are going to be too big. they seem to fit pretty good, and when im done fiberglassing it will fit really good!

Re: robo3687's Pep Files - Iron Man, Star Wars and more...oh my!

ok i see. maybe my arms were the problem not the scale adjustment :lol

anyway post some pics after you fiberglass them i want to see how they turn out :)

Re: robo3687's Pep Files - Iron Man, Star Wars and more...oh my!

any one think a 3 inch adjustment will be too much and make it uber huge?

Re: robo3687's Pep Files - Iron Man, Star Wars and more...oh my!

That RC helmet is looking really good Robo! :eek

BTW, for the upper thighs, since everyone's not gonna have the same distance between their upper thighs and cod area (I agree with Robo), maybe we can apply Starx's design for the flex joints made from plastic trashcan material riveted together. It will be made of thicker strips of course and the top piece will be arched. Just my 2 cents.

I was just looking at this pic. Anyone noticed what's terribly wrong with it?

It looks like his right hand is meshed together with her hand and he is grabbing her butt :)

Oh, and amazing files Robo, :thumbsup me and Shade just started working on them but haven't decided which to make yet, I think we'll take a poll or go with which ever chest is easier :lol

Re: robo3687's Pep Files - Iron Man, Star Wars and more...oh my!

Just a reminder for anyone who might be soon fiber glassing the mark iv chest (although I would imagine the same applies to the other), watch out when you're pressing the glass down along the bottom bridge. I was in a bit of a rush last night doing it and not being the most careful and ended up with a fair amount of warpage there :(

Re: robo3687's Pep Files - Iron Man, Star Wars and more...oh my!

Also, I see a lot of people asking about sizing. So far I have been using the default size for everything and I am 5'10, 150ish lbs and everything seems to be fitting me pretty nicely. I haven't got any pictures of it all together yet but I can try to get one someone within the next day or so. I am interested on whether other people also think it is fitting nicely or if im crazy.

The bottom edge under the arc reactor port? Any suggestions?

you just missed the point of that everyone else's physique is different. That's why there's a lot of sizing questions.

Re: robo3687's Pep Files - Iron Man, Star Wars and more...oh my!

Yeah thats the edge I am talking about. I had all of the supports drawn up in the 1 file in place, but if i had to do it again I would add a support maybe made out of cardboard that ran along the underside of that edge and connected a bit to the 2 curved parts to keep it straight.

As for everyone's physique being different, sure that is true... But at the same time, if a bunch of people speak up and say the default is working for them and they're 5'9 or 5'10, then you know that if you are 6' or above, or 5'9 5'10 and weight a fair amount more, maybe it wouldn't hurt to make them a bit bigger in the meantime. I threw my weight out there again just for idea. If after I post pictures and people agree it fits well, I can take measurements of my arms and body and give them to everyone no problem.

Re: robo3687's Pep Files - Iron Man, Star Wars and more...oh my!

I'm 5' 9" and 215. the default doesnt work for me. Ive bumped it up 10% but now its too tall. I'm still playing with it a little, im guessing I need to manually up the width and depth but leave the height the default :confused

Re: robo3687's Pep Files - Iron Man, Star Wars and more...oh my!

5'9'' and 140lbs and it's almost perfect, i think the hand plates may be a little to small and maybe the spine, but we'll see as I get the rest finished.
