Lol, Stealth you are totally right, he could be a tv host.

And Starx, a tutorial would be really awesome showing how you make those articulating joints. How large are those pvc sheets you said you purchased?

Re: Starx- Iron Man MK3 - Started on Joints, update 8-12-10

Where is the pep file for the fingers and the hand? I have the fingers but I dont have the rest like the palm and top of the hand.

Thanks for the thumbs up bud. Im glad youre still checking up on me even after everything. Hows your war machine coming along? Am i going to see you at a con in it anytime soon? lol.

Made some progress..although not much after my paper. I decided to try ebay out and found this little guy. Went ahead and bought him so thats another piece done with. lol. Price wasn't bad at all for how it looks and theres a full refund if youre not happy with the product. Cant lose on that one. Pic attached below. The pictures are of the actual ebay seller. If anyone would like the page let me know and ill send you the right way for it.

I know I said it before, but man I love following this build. Probably because I am doing the same.

What did you make your mannequin out of? It looks like PVC pipe with tape and some sort of filler. Also, could I get a link to the ebay auction?

Re: Starx- Iron Man MK3 - Bought Arc Reactor 8-13-10

I like that reactor Starx. Pretty impressive looking. Can you pm me the price for that fancy unit and where I can get one?

The mannequin is really easy actually. Wear some clothes that you can throw away, have someone wrap you in duct tape while youre in them, cut them out, make a frame out of pvc piping, and stuff it with anything you can find. I tore up some old couch pillows and used the stuffing from that. The person that brought that idea to me was Bamabat. Haven't heard from him in a while tho..hope that helps!

Ill go ahead and put the information here so anyone else can find it as well. I checked back onto the site and it seems that is the only one being sold right now. But ill leave the sellers name so if you like you can contact that person as to the future possibility of them selling another one. Its around $80.00 on ebay but with a return guarantee its not bad at all.
Sellers name: electricaqua

Looking good. Love to se it when its all assembled and in action. And the arc, will make it a step higher adding to the realistic details. Keep it up!

I know what you mean. I know it wont be 100% accurate but anything near it will make me happy. Im a stickler for details so ill keep working until i get it right. :)

The dremel definitely makes working on the suit easier. Im buying a sander next week when i start to bondo so i can save some time..and pain from my hands. lol

Got a little update for you guys as to what im planning to do with the hands and fingers. Hope you enjoy. Ill try to post the articulation video by this sunday.
