Hit up RS propmasters on the lenses they make TKs in the UK. I know they do bubble lenses. They should be able to beat $70

Hadn't thought of using worbla - thanks for the idea!

So the tunic portion is more the bubble gauze, and the head wrap (AKA "tee shirt") is more a cotton hand woven fabric. This is making more sense now yes.

I literally thought it was a long sleeve cotton tee shirt everyone was talking about. haha :wacko

jec0435, the tunic top is "Hemp and Cotton Jersey". Here's the sign from the exhibit with the costume fabric types.

Contacted them directly - lenses not available separately. No worries though - going to have a go at making them myself.

Arm wraps are curing:


I put the compression sleeves on the mannequin arms, then as I wrapped I strategically spread E6000 on both the wraps and the compression sleeves to hold everything in place.

Well see in the morning how well it works. In the meantime its time to get started making the head wrap.

****UPDATE****

Don't do what I did!

The E6000 stuck to the mannequin arm. :facepalm
I did manage to get the sleeves off, but since the mannequin arms were bigger than I'd thought--and bigger than my arms--the wraps were stretched out too much, and it just didn't come out at all. So I pulled all of the wrappings off the sleeves and I guess I'll just go back to manually wrapping my arms each time.

It does hold just fine that way...I was just hoping I could find a faster way. That's what I get for thinking.

For the lenses I sculpted the shapes I wanted out of Aves Epoxy putty (wet sanded them glass smooth)
Glued them to a strip of wood (cabinet base board)
Made corresponding holes an another board for a press mold.

I dipped my strip of PETG into boiling water and tried to do a quick press but it would solidify before I could get anywhere with it.
Solution: clamp the molds together then pour the boiling water over it.
Softened it enough to get what I needed.

I then airbrushed it with Tamiya clear green then coated it with future floor wax (modelers trick for clear plastic)

I assume its like the "tshirt ninja" thing Ive seen done...

You put the opening of the head where your eyes go and kinda drape the shirt over your chest and back...then tie the arms around your head?
