Managed to track down one of these bad boys!

Borrowing off a friend, so need to take care of it.
Will take a pattern off it, make the necessary alterations to the pattern, and construct a new one from scratch which will then be beaten down and weathered.
Might scan the pattern and write up some instructions when it's done so others are able to make their own replicas
Thinking of using some 18oz canvas for this, does that seem about right for military bag replicas?
The biggest problem that you're going to have replicating it from scratch is that the British webbing is a different weave than standard canvas. On this particular bag there are two textures. the body of the bag is more of a standard canvas, but the reinforced webbing which runs around the perimeter of the bag is that unique British weave---and it's quite wide at a bit over 2". I'm not sure how you'll replicate that part. If you do manage to find a replacement for it, then I expect many will thank you.
