Revell release schedule

I haven't opened yet. I'll do it in peace on the weekend. A few dealers here in Germany already offer them online. I ordered mine through the Amazon Marketplace:)

Quick comparison shots between revell and bandai kit parts - bandai is ~3.5 times smaller.
one bad point on the revell kit: the letters on the outside(!) of the rear ramp...

Smooth surface with thin panel lines.
That's a relief! It's too bad about the lettering on the ramp though. I remember building a Revell spitfire (the one that's been around since forever) and the lettering was on one of the horizontal stabilizers! Ugh. Not a huge deal to get rid of, just inconvenient.

The kit looks pretty detailed for a Revell kit, i must say. Biggest bummer apart from the lettering are those ugly, toy like hinges on the hatches.
 
The surface details in general look better on the R2, and the recessed areas will certainly have more depth if they are separate insert pieces.
