Re: Redtogusa's Amazing Spiderman Build using McL34Ns pattern (New webshooters are in

jeez your work is great the suit looks amzing and i would never have the patience to hand lay the honeycomb pattern Kudos

Re: Redtogusa's Amazing Spiderman Build using McL34Ns pattern (New webshooters are in

I used probably near 4 bottles for the webbing, maybe 5.

Yup the spiders were done with the puff paint too.

Incredible work here it's truly inspiring, sorry if this has been asked before but how many bottles of black dylon 3D glossy paint did you use for the web lines of the suit? also are the spiders on the back and the front done with this 3D paint too?

Re: Redtogusa's Amazing Spiderman Build using McL34Ns pattern (New webshooters are in

I'm planning on buying 3 bottles of deep red slick puff paint, 3 of royal blue, and 2 black (tulip) would that be enough?

I'd guess so but y'know if you run out you can always buy more. :eek

You guys are crazy in a good way. There must be a better way.

Re: Redtogusa's Amazing Spiderman Build using McL34Ns pattern (New webshooters are in

Would you be able to post or pm the dimensions of the octagon pattern? Im drawing the pattern onto my costume and am not sure how large to make each octagon.

I know the red ones are perfectly symmetrical, but the blue ones are longer than they are wide, so the dimensions for both would be very helpful!

Hey this work is fantastic. Does anyone know where I can get an ASM design printed in the uk?

Re: Redtogusa's Amazing Spiderman Build using McL34Ns pattern (New webshooters are in

Sure thing.
Red hc seems to be 6mm square and the blue looks like 7.5mm x 9mm.

That's with it stretched as if it was on a body.

Sorry to bother you about it, but I would have to ship the paint halfway around the world to recieve it, and as you can imagine, thats a rather handsome cost hahaha I just wanted to check with you so that I wouldn't order too little cuz you seem to be the best at all this ^^; (in case you're wonderin, I live in korea haha)

Re: Redtogusa's Amazing Spiderman Build using McL34Ns pattern (New webshooters are in

Sorry to bother you about it...

No worries mate, I hope you get everything sorted ok. :thumbsup

Small update, got the eyes and webshooters almost finished. I decided to strip and repaint the eye frames to give them that blue tinge.

Still working away at the blue paint, slow but sure, I'm finding it tough though, just so boring plus due to the shading on some of the areas it's hard to make out the honey comb guide so I've messed up a bit in places. :facepalm Hopefully it won't be too noticable.

Cheers guys.

Re: Redtogusa's Amazing Spiderman Build using McL34Ns pattern (New webshooters are in

The eye's came out good! If the Black/Blue part was glossy it would look even better!!!

Re: Redtogusa's Amazing Spiderman Build using McL34Ns pattern (New webshooters are in

Looking great mate! How far of honeycombing the entire suit are you? I think I'd suggest a few layers of high gloss varnish for the lense frames, that'll really help the pop out and not appear so flat on camera. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Re: Redtogusa's Amazing Spiderman Build using McL34Ns pattern (New webshooters are in

Honeycombing is looking good. I have a feeling mistakes are much easier to notice when creating than when seeing someone wear it. I have the same perfectionist problems myself :p

Re: Redtogusa's Amazing Spiderman Build using McL34Ns pattern (New webshooters are in

How is the reflectiveness on the eyes? they actually came out pretty good looking :lol
Can you show more of the suit Redtogusa? Did you finish the whole of the front?

Re: Redtogusa's Amazing Spiderman Build using McL34Ns pattern (New webshooters are in

This is turning out pretty awesome. Gives me hope for my trials with the same suit. Looking forward to more updates!

Re: Redtogusa's Amazing Spiderman Build using McL34Ns pattern (New webshooters are in

It really is coming along wonderfully :) but if this was a prototype of MCL43N's then it couldn't have been tailored to you, right? so does this suit, and lycra in general stretch a good inch or two? Cheers

Re: Redtogusa's Amazing Spiderman Build using McL34Ns pattern (New webshooters are in

Great Attention to detail! It is paying off!
