RE-cast alert Saberforge REcast my Tfu2 Promo Saber

For those who reposted my comments that I made on SF's Video. My Name is J. Bishop and I reside in Jax. Florida. I am over-middle aged Man/retired/Collector. I am putting my personal Information out there , in case SF wants to add me to the list of people he thinks he can sue. Feel Free to do so.

I feel I need to write this post, However I don't normally get involved in the Online BS. I much prefer the anonymity of online reading and shopping. However, when I saw that video .. it made me Livid.

I saw several months ago on SF's Facebook page where he openly said , and I wish I would have screencapped it then, but I am sure lots of poeple did. " I am buying Solo's Hold TFU2 to reverse engineer"

Karma takes cares of fools like him sometimes not fast enough.

What a complete and total *******! :lol

That is not karma. It usually is the sum of bad manners, bad behaviour, bad socialisation, lack of emotional competence, lack of respect for your fellow human beings...

Hm. It seems like it indeed really amounts to a karma matter in the end...

No. I'm not. The guy has been binned. End.

NO. Just because this one incident has a conclusion does not mean it's the end. These threads are allowed to run their course so that anyone considering doing business with people like this can see that it's not just one or two isolated incidents.

If you want it to "end", simply stop opening this thread. It's really that easy.

Damnit! I was just about to get a SF saber. I guess I'll head over to Ultrasaber again. What a total jerk. I'll have to tell me friends about this so they stop purchasing from a recaster and some guy that thinks it's ok to threaten everybody who disagrees with him. none of this surprises me after the interaction my brother in law had with him though.

So I'm just a little confused about the actual outcome of this.
Was he banned for supposedly copying Solo Holds attachment methods in addition to blowing a gasket at being publicly denounced as a recaster? ( meaning just the pressure fitting and ball detent method of assembly, as the saber design itself is taken from a video game saber and thus not proprietary to either SH or SF) Or was he simply banned for his responses off forum. Not attempting to jump to the defense of either party here, just trying to understand the logistics behind the ban as I don't outwardly see how one could condemn a guy of recasting off the single small CAD photo that's posted on the first page of this thread. Especially where he never actually produced anything that would conventionally be considered recasting out side of the small exploded saber photo.
I mean if the guy's banned for a foul attitude, then it should be left as that and only that. Calling him a recaster on top of it seems very subjective given the lack of evidence.
I guess my question can be rephrased as, From here on out, is the pressure fit and ball detent method of attachment/assembly considered SH's exclusive method for building sabers, and once he makes a particular replica saber (lets just say the ventress saber) using said attachment methods, then no one can create the same saber using said attachment methods as it would be recasting?

BFS_1, did you take the time and read all posts in this thread? Because it was not about the method of connecting two saber elements, and frankly I do not understand why you´d pick such a detail for a discussion on the topic of recasting.

I did not as of yet, still working through them. I simply based that opinion/question off the responses indicating that he supposedly changed his design once outed as supposedly copying them and his (now removed) 'defense' video which focused exclusively on the attachment methods. Again, not trying to jump to anyone's defense. just trying to understand the full reasons behind the ban

New here , but had a question about this issue. I recently seen that a member of Mr. Isherwood s forum is trying to sell one of SH sabers, if there is bad blood between them why would Mr. Isherwood allow this sale on his forum? I had seen that he banned members that supported SH. Am I wrong?

Got a link or a screen grab?? Regardless, even if that were true what bearing does that have on this discussion?

I'm sorry I don't have a link or screen grab as I do not have membership to his forum, I was banned. I only access Mr Isherwood s forum from a friends Facebook. In my option the bearing on this discussion is that I don't think Mr Isherwood is perusing a lawsuit that he claims he is perusing. I was mostly asking if anyone knew why he would allow or what he gains by the sale of one of SH sabers to be sold on his forum especially when he banned members that are associated or support SH. Mr Isherwood claims that all members that are associated with SH are" criminals" well that's what he told me when I asked why I was banned.

OK, I see. You gotta take what he and his representatives take with a grain of salt. For someone who cries slander and defamation, there seems to be enough of that to go around especially when calling folks "criminals" and "my attacker". Ban, no ban - I seriously thought I left this all behind in 3rd grade :facepalm
