So I'm just a little confused about the actual outcome of this.
Was he banned for supposedly copying Solo Holds attachment methods in addition to blowing a gasket at being publicly denounced as a recaster? ( meaning just the pressure fitting and ball detent method of assembly, as the saber design itself is taken from a video game saber and thus not proprietary to either SH or SF) Or was he simply banned for his responses off forum. Not attempting to jump to the defense of either party here, just trying to understand the logistics behind the ban as I don't outwardly see how one could condemn a guy of recasting off the single small CAD photo that's posted on the first page of this thread. Especially where he never actually produced anything that would conventionally be considered recasting out side of the small exploded saber photo.
I mean if the guy's banned for a foul attitude, then it should be left as that and only that. Calling him a recaster on top of it seems very subjective given the lack of evidence.
I guess my question can be rephrased as, From here on out, is the pressure fit and ball detent method of attachment/assembly considered SH's exclusive method for building sabers, and once he makes a particular replica saber (lets just say the ventress saber) using said attachment methods, then no one can create the same saber using said attachment methods as it would be recasting?
