Should've used silicone for those skins and dome panels, it holds strong and is real easy to clean up at the edges!

again, not the best looking droid in the world, but the back is finally complete, the front is only missing one part, and now it's time to start focusing on the legs... also, i need to fix the lights...a wire tore off during a head turn demonstration, and now the fronts are all wonky..

Not sure if you are going top clean up the seams a bit? But I would sand down all the joins and seams and over spill of glue, Mask off and respray the whole body. It would look a lot more professionally assembled. I know this is the first time but you could make good with a little patience and time and effort.
Don't get me wrong, it looks great and no easy task putting an R2 together and for the first time you've done a smashing job. It wouldn't be hard to make it look spectacular though.

Somewhere down the line, I'll get a second frame set and try again. I've got all my holes where I need them, so it should be easier. But as far as this one goes, I'm going to dremel extra glue away, sand down the rest, and let someone else paint it for a final go....

Today, we cleaned out the rockler.. it's still not running smoothly..but I think it's hitting on the skins when it turns, and possible the LDP. So, I've got to add a few more nuts to raise the dome and see if that fixes the problem..

light kit for second dome completed....not much to do now but search for info on how to assemble the legs properly..anyone comes up with something good before i do, please post.

body cleanup being done soon... second light kit for eventual second dome done. Utility arms scored...body should be done next week. And hopefully the A and A gear set works better turning the dome.
