QMX New Releases: Trek, Stargate, DW, WH13 PICS PG.2

I don't know the answer to that, but it looks cool and I want one.

I'm pretty sure Karl said the QMx pistol would be an entirely new set of masters than the 47 and 47a on the firefly board. That being said. It looks like an original Model 47 to me. Some of the edges don't look as crisp as a 47a's & the panel line the safety goes over looks like an actual panel break, the 47a has those 2 pieces connected. My guess is it's Karl's 47 being used as a display prototype stand in.

True, and as I said, mine's not perfect . It just looks more the part than the QMX ring. The over long lower point on the largest star, the fact that the "dots" closest to the large stars seem to touch them, and the realy close five lines on the sides of the ring, not to mention that the QMX ring is almost perfectly round when both the screen used ring and mine are more of an oval. Add to all of that the fact that the QMX ring is one size, then add to that it's silver plated brass to boot, and you end up with one realy halfassed product.

I know Trekkies who were waiting for this ring and were hoping for a nice, accurate, wearable product. This isn't it.

John

Sorry, I just don't think yours is any better than the QMx at all. In fact I didn't buy yours because it wasn't very accurate. And nobody's a bigger Trek fan than me.

And now CT's horde will descend on this thread and crucify everybody who says something nice about the QMx. Look, I can predict the future, what a spectacle.

You know, I'm a Celestial Toymaker supporter and i think this looks brilliant. :rolleyes

IF they do make the production piece as good as this prototype and IF it has sound and IF they keep the price at the estimated $200 mark I will buy one. I'm still buying my CT version as well but if this license holder will do as great a job as they seem to want to do I think it will be great. I hold out hope that they will but I have to think that a couple years ago MFX promised many of the same things. Not being a nay sayer (about QMx), just saying is all. It'll be great if they do though.

I don't think Ash made the ring -- it was made by another RPFer, as I bought one from him, too. Unless there was more than one guy making these rings.

I would buy the QmX ring even if it is a bit off on accuracy, but the deal breaker is NOT offering it in different ring sizes and/or NOT offering it in sterling silver so you could at least take it to a jeweler and have it professionally resized. I do not think you can resize a ring that has a brass core plated in silver....but I could be wrong about this.

The Firefly pistol looks SHINY!!!!! I hope they sell this in the $200 to $500 range....if so, I'm in.

Ditto!

I've visited serveral times with Karl Derrick from the UK at the QMx booth about the Sonics. He's the guy that has developed them and the farnsworth.

Plans for this are really open to fan input, which is a nice thing about QMx I think.

While initially saying no sound, they have heard and read the feedback and say though a challenge due to limited room inside, they will do sound. Vibration if any will be a by product of that.

They are shooting for a $200 price point on this and the Matt Smith piece they will be showing at Dragoncon.

I was also told to expect River Songs Library Sonic and the Masters Laser Sonic.

Great! If anything we got them to add sound that is awesome :) And really if Celestial Toystore can add sound to that size I have confidence that QMx can :)

Look forward to their other stuff, hopefully it all works out for them. I love the look of this sonic and the price is awesome!

As for the CT stuff...

He makes a great sonic screwdriver, yes. Good customer service? Sure...but Customer services does not stop at customers only. Cyber-stalking, bullying and hacking into peoples facebook and email accounts to try and show how much power or better they are...way not cool, and was the final straw for me. I will never purchase from him.

I think that last comment about the account hacking is unfair. You could never prove it was him and I think that it's really slanderous of you to hold on to that considering the blog post that was made saying how wrong even he thought it was. Unless you have some other proof on that I think you should leave that out.

He went from a blog post saying how wrong it was saying he'd let me be, and then I find out about his hidden messages on his website (which I encourage everyone to go see, just select all on his homepage and other product pages to see) and how he keeps bringing me up on other posts and twitter comments now. I won't leave it out, and its unfair to simply say he said he did not do it so he didn't, when there has only been an amass of character proof that he would. Who else would do such a thing?

In his blog post saying how wrong he thought it was he even went so far as to blame ME for doing such a thing. Only actions, not words proof character, and for some reason since 2008 he's done nothing but attack me, and did not have to deal with my wife who was was in tears when her account passwords were changed.

Isn't it funny how people now want a sound chip when they said one of the reasons they didn't want it with the MFX replica 'cos the original TV prop didn't have sound!

Bottom line is I guess they did want sound all along but cos they were wrong about CT they tied themselves up in knots with nonsensical reasons not to buy from him especially when they realised they'd been sold a dud from MFX! Oh make life easy for yourselves guys buy CT's no ones gonna think badly of you! ;)

Uh no. I think people wanted a Sonic Screwdriver. The studio one did not have sound so it was a compromise, but I know many who opted out because of no sound. I wanted sound all along, go back and read my posts. I was bummed, but got over it when someone mentioned...you cannot see sound in a convention photo.

There are no nonsensical reasons to buy from anyone for anything. Its like the Parks Sabers stuff. Some buy from him, some do not because he screwed over someone. No one was sold a dud of anything, its still an official replica of Doctor Who, and people here are still adults that can make their own decisions. Glad you like your CT sonic, but that does not make anyone in any brigade or anything nefarious.

And no ASP9MM, I guess he does not, which is too bad. Had he not been this way or brought to a low point and personal attacks, I would have likely bought one of his Tennants, was never interested in the Eccelston. In fact, I was watching his website for years hoping it would show up to buy.

David Tennet Signature Edition!!!!

That is what I want. Are you hearing me people of QMX :lol
I will be getting one of these regardless but SE would be sweet!!!!

If it wasn't for the fact that you haven't yet displayed signs of someone suffering from Tourettes I would be convinced you're a sock puppet account for CT. All you've done in your 16 posts to date is constantly **** in MFX's backyard and now you want to **** in the new owners yard who are also members here.

Perhaps you should re-acquaint yourself with this forums rules:

Members may not shill on any part of the site. This includes posting items for sale or coordinating sales for other people or promoting sites, services or products for banned members or known recasters."

"So certain are you?" - Yoda. :lol

With all the hell MFX had to go through to get a product out there; they STILL got their product out there and fixed any problems that came with. That's a sign of quality people running a quality company to me.

Now, back on subject - I'm beyond stoked that QMX is offering the Stunt version of the Abrams Phaser. I wish, like most others, that they would make it where the barrel can be swiveled but for $50 each I'll be happy to buy two and mod one to be in the kill setting.

I was meaning technically adults :p The fact we all want "high-end" toys still makes us kids who run around shooting pretend lasers, or making sound effects holding on to our lightsabers :p

I am really excited to see what all QMx does!

See? Now you're talking! ;-) I have an AA/DST TOS science tricorder in my work laptop bag right now. Keeps me from being totally bored in the office. ;)
