Qc ssr at-st

I've been inspired by the great build on this thread and am thinking on making an attempt building an ATST. I have a couple of questions... (well, a lot of questions, but I'll start with couple). I noticed a part code on the ATST side weapon pods on an earlier post. It looks like a Plastruct Inc part. If so, I notice they sell their domes in injected molded clear acrylic or ABS plastic. Is there advantages/disadvantages with either material... as far as cutting, gluing, etc....? Also, where can I get the leg templates or who do I need to ask? Thanks for a detailed build log.

I used the ABS for mine no problems in working with it. Not sure what is meant by leg templates unless you mean the blueprints for the armature.

Yes, the blueprints for the armature. Thanks for the correction. It looks like Quincy used the clear acrylic, so glad to hear builders have used either with favorable results.

I don't think it matters what you use and probably it's whatever they have in stock at the time.
Also as far as the blueprints go , Quincy would be the person to ask for the blueprints, good luck on the build

Bumping an older thread....
Quincy or has anyone considered modeling and 3d printing the ATST armature? I could probably model this but I am not certain how the threaded portions might work (if at all), but I figured that I would ask for those of us building this thing and cannot afford the alum armature.
Thanks!
mike
