Q - Skyfall

A friend and me are working on trying to build a 100% SA Q costume from Skyfall. We ready have a few of the things, but our goal is to have the costume done by early march. The one we are working on is when Q is in the lab, we are not doing the one when Bond first meets him if anyone can help on getting info on the costume and props he wears, and or great photos, it would go along ways

Punchbuggyblues may be able to help with this.

I do know that the sweater came at a pretty high price point. I haven't seen anything that close ID's as a good stand in, either. Your best bet may be to find a mustard sweater and have the edging added by hand.

Q's cardigan in the film is by Dries Van Noten, and you're going to have a very difficult time getting a hold of one. First of all, they don't offer online shopping, you can only purchase their stuff from one of their 4 shops, all of which are located in Paris. Second, it's a $2000+ cardigan. And lastly, Dries Van Noten is a bit "exclusive" with their seasonal lines, meaning that most of their garments are only available for a few months, and then they're gone forever. I suppose you might be able to find someone making replicas, but I imagine that would also be really expensive.

Thanks, Dave.

The Glasses are by Univo and can be found here:

Great customer service and quick turnaround time. I'm very happy with the specs.

Don't know the trousers.

The tie is a knitted silk Zara tie (Looks Navy to me in the pics)

And for the mug, it should be the UK version of the Wild and Wolf "Q" Scrabble mug. The game uses different fonts in the US and the UK, and though I like my US one, I wouldn't mind getting a hold of a SA one.

Watched the film on blu-ray, his shirt seems to have french cuffs, and the back on his trousers got two back pockets with buttons, there also seems to "elbow patches" on his cardigan, made in the same way as the shoulders. he also seems to wear some blue suede-sneaker, they could be chukka boots with a big sole, here's come caps.

I'd reccomend seeing it in full size to see details better

It's a great cardigan.

It's also extremely fitted which is something the more fashion-y high street shops do very well, but the online stores that offer tailored reproductions sometimes have a harder time with. That said, with all those little details, it would be great if a vendor would take a shot at copying this in time for next autumn...:thumbsup

I might be wrong, but I think Magnoli's knitwear is back up. Somebody should definitely at least ask him about it.

Yep, you're wrong! ;) I don't want to take any custom orders until I can guarantee regular, consistent, timely production.

So for anybody still looking, H&M currently has a decent base for this cardigan. I'm going to make a couple for a friend and I, I'll post here when that's done. Might be a while though.
