Predators - Royce Costume

Ok, I just got my Blackhawk Tactical Omega VI Ultra Universal Modular Light Holster and there are two huge velcro things on the side with a molle clip in each one. Where do I get the correct holster, this one that I have looks like it has been updated and is all modern looking.

Here is a list of where to get what:

You are looking for the BlackHawk Omega VI Elite Dropleg Holster not the Ultra Universal Modular Light Holster.

This is where I got mine:

BlackHawk OMEGA VI Elite Airborn Holster Right Hand Draw - COLT 45, Browning 9mm holsters FREE S&H 40QD22BK. BlackHawk Omega Holsters, BlackHawk Holsters.

Hahahahaha!

This thread is useless without pics of Art in costume.

I have at least $1500 more to spend on this costume... if not more than that, so you won't be seeing me in it anytime soon. My hope was to have it ready for Comic Con, but I just don't see that happening at this point... Maybe a stripped down version...

I have spent a total of about 500 dollars and have everything but the watch and the shotgun, how on earth does this kit run 1500 dollars? Am I missing something, this is my first time on this site and my first movie costume but I think I am doing pretty well for a novice.

I still love ya, Art.

Here is a rough breakdown of what I am expecting for what I have left:

Pistol and accessories- $200-$300.
Shotgun - $500-$1000 (depending on how I trick it out).
Machete - $150
Custom Machete Scabbard - $50-100
Custom Shotgun magazine pouch - $100
Replica watch - $200
Final Shotshell panels - $75.
Bravo Gloves (don't like mine) - $25.

I just ordered pants and the boots so that is done and I actually have a wearable outfit, but without the rest, it is a pretty incomplete costume.

Art, how do you plan on getting the AA12? (Sorry if I missed it)

First... we sneak into a National Guard Armory.... :lol:lol:lol

Actually, keep your eyes out here on the RPF for an answer to that question. I don't want to speak for the person responsible, but a solution is coming.

Finally think I have decided on a pistol. Going with this one which is a slightly different model of a recommendation made by augofett. Just need to get the M4 style flashider for the barrel and get the camo wraps for the grips and we should be good to go.

Looking good... The jacket looks amazing, and accurate too. Can't wait to see when this is finished!

I had posted a very small thumbnail before of what I believed to be the sheath Royce has for the Predator style machete and I was finally able to get a larger copy of that image as well as a nice sceencap from the movie. I believe Royce is actually wearing an original Jack Crain sheath as it seems to match exactly to what is seen on screen. I don't know what the sheath is made of but it appears to be leather with a subtle camo paint/dye on it. I tried writing Mr Crain but didn't hear back. I have heard he is tough to get in touch with and I am assuming unless I was prepared to spend $2k on one of his knives, he isn't going to be interested in talking to me about the sheath. So... thoughts on having this custom made?

And here you can clearly see the wide loop that goes around the Operator belt (not the Tactical belt) that holds the sheath in place.

The AA12 is pretty BA. I'll be watching :ninja lol

I am so annoyed right now. As some of you have been following this thread know, I picked up a pair of black 5.11 tactical pant for my Royce outfit... weathered them, and then checked to see if they were right... They aren't the right color, and now they are weathered, so I am stuck with them (anyone want a pair of 34X32 at a reduced price).

So I ordered two more pair last week, the Navy and the Charcoal. They came in on Friday and while I am still not convinced, Mirax says the Charcoal are unquestionably the right pant. I still believe in some of the early stills of Royce (where he has no gloves on he has on a Navy pant with black weathering, but then again, colors have never been my thing.

So, why am I upset? Because I ordered 5.11 Tactical TacLite Pro Pants 74273 instead of 5.11 Tactical Pants - The Original 74251.

Just to be perfectly clear, you need 74251, NOT 74273.

Now I have to return these and get the right model. Even though I feel like the Charcoal looks a little weird, Mirax has a much better eye for color than I do, so I am going with this pant for my costume. Trying to decide if I should keep the Navy just for day to day wear.

I know this will probably be filed under another "nobody cares" but I thought it was interesting to see the similarities and differences between an original Jack Crain and a Master Cutlery replica of the Predator Machete (I don't know why Crain calls it a Machette with two t's)

I am still not convinced,

No talking of sales outside the junkyard.....watch out a Mod might give you a warning ;)
:lol

I havent seen the movie yet, but maybe the lighting from the film gives off a different color than what they really are....

Yup, I dont care :)

Actually the replica looks pretty nice compared to the screen used machete. However, I would pefer the finger handle grip on the replica machete to stick out a little bit like the original...

btw, i love this thread. I may not have seen the movie yet, but i love seeing all the research done to get an accurate costume through "found" pieces
