Re: Predator Deal Gone Bad ....
Ok so ive had time for all this to sink in, Firstly many thanks for all the messages, kind words and advice here, its really appreciated.
There are some Pieces that we crave to have in our collections, and some of us have to rely on the good work of others to have those awsome pieces in our collection as we are simply not talented enough to do the work ourseleves.
Having a Life Sized Pred head has been a long time want of mine, so ordering and commissioning one of these was very exciting to me, especially after recieving an amazing Bio from Daren (suckface)
My Fiancee placed the order for a fully painted Pred Head way back in December, and it was agreed that for an Extra cost i would supply DreadLocks, Quils and Dread Rings to have what i was told The Ultimate Pred Head display.
So after a 4 and half month wait countless Bull **** txts this is what i recieved Friday
You will see that i have mounted the Head on a stand i did this as soon as unboxing the Head .......... because.......... the Foam Filling was still wet !!!
At first glance it looks like a great Paint Up which to an extent it is
But Look at the Dreadlocks They have been cut way to short and Mounted in the holes wrong
So onto the DreadLocks the expanding foam is actually visable through some of the Dread Holes and there was obviously a problem at some point as some expanding foam went onto the actual dreads, what he has then tried to do is scrape it off Damaging the Dreads, i will now have to order some more and replace these
Im not convinced the head is 1;1 the dreads have been cut way to short before fitting and no neck ring fitted as agreed or promised
Initially i was impressed with the Paint Up but on firther inspection there are areas where the paint has chipped off the latex this being the worse
The Eye Area has been cut out all wrong and the Glass eyes (which i provided) have been glued in lop sided giving the impression the Pred is Cross eyed
im unable to get to the eyes now as the whole head has been foam filled
The Mandibles that seem to have been glued on at some point were not attached when i opened the box, so now i have the problem of re-attaching these filling in the gaps and matching the paint, also if you look closely you see this Pred Is cross eyed
Im not sure if i have over reacted here or not.......... you decide
But my personal opinion is i have not recieved what i was promised for the large amount this cost us in the begining.
couple that with the damage done to the other Parts we paid for and supplied ............. my dream has been well and truly destroyed IMHO
To take money off somone to fund other projects is just plain wrong from my point of view
we paid to have a Predator Head display we didnt pay to fund his YODA project which judging by his Junkyard Thread we clearly did
as some one has mentioned This is a few hours of rushed work, not 4 months worth of carfull artistic genius.
