Polishing an AP Trooper Bucket

Hey guys, so I've got two AP trooper helmets, one I bought from a member here awhile back and one I got in kit form directly from AP.

The one from AP is much less shiny than the other. Might be different ABS, I'm no expert.

I'm wondering what everyone uses to polish these things up. Will Novus or something similar do?

If it's unpainted plastic Novus is what you want.

Yes. I use the Novus light scratch remover on mine. Don't even bother with the polish.

Can this stuff be had at stores now, or is it still mail order only?

Brasso metal polish is an EXELENT plastic polish, also.

Most hobby shops should carry it, if not see if they can order it in. I know for a fact that Stevens International and Great Plains Dist, 2 of the larger Hobby Distributors carry it. Novus actually now has 3 parts, they added an Heavy Duty Scratch Remover a few years ago, really good after you've had armor for a few years.

i bought the 3 part kit from him last summer.
the polishing spray (used after the red bottle evryone uses) really makes a difference.

Man I just can't get this thing as shiny as my other one. I've been Novusing it for awhile now and it just wont get that shiny.

Different types of ABS perhaps?

Why not just paint it ? it'll be more authentic anyway.

Probably different materials AP has changed materials a few times.
