Thanks BTTFSpencer! I will certainly use those as references.
Grant, I will make them smaller and TRY to print out the hold downs and magnet as one piece. Will be working on this tomorrow.

Sounds great! Here are the image a bit bigger. Again, they are vaccuformed so we have to judge them accordingly.

Just added up, since I started this project I have printed over 50 cubic inches of material in part attempts!

In retrospect, we should probably have waited a week each time and gathered all the possible edits before you did another print. :facepalm

Haha probably, but things look so different in drawings then they do in person, I am not regretting any of the prints just yet.

I think the battery is a lot better now. Its true total height is .505in. The thinner hold downs are printing now. They are actually printing WITH the magnet already assembled so we will see how it looks printed as one piece. I made the holes on the hold downs significantly larger to accommodate the head of the drywall screws.

How tall is the disc compared to the battery?

Are the entire hold downs thinner or just the contact points? Should work well as one piece.

I am not with the parts, but if i recall i think the magnet is .75 height. I will tell you tomorrow for sure.
Also only made the parts touching the magnet thinner....

"Cut, print, check the gate... that's a wrap folks!"

Awesome work... just stunning. I can safely say it looks like you are done.

All that tweaking has paid off. :D

Anything else you notice? Maybe we should just sit back and stare at it for a while! :lol

Maybe it's worth giving the hold downs just a little more height (not the contact points, just the base thickness) so the vaccu-form has a little something to grab? What do you think?

Or not... it's hard to tell when I can't see it in person. Your call.

Grant, I am in the process of fixing a vacu-former. Once they are vacu-formed I might have to make changes.
I emailed the seller of a screen used/ prototype pitbull to see if he would email any more pictures with a ruler next to the bottom parts. He claims they are vacu-formed but they look like the resin parts. We'll see if they email pics.
