is it possible to see the changes with the V1 to check accuracy compared at least to the stunt and propshop?
As I am a bit manic about detail, there may be some missed thigs it's still possible to modify before production?!

Hope the V2 is dead-on accurate to the Prop Shop version. Someone should definitely do a comparison for accuracy

I discussed a while with Derreck, some minor differences, I mentionned all I could see, and he will see if necessary to change or not.
And, something else, the render is a bit different to the file, some parts are missing on the render, so I don't worry too much about it.
In all cases, even as it is, it's really close to the propshop lightsaber for me.

i think once he gets the prototype back from the machine shop then we can really compare. i am no cross guard expert but from what I've seen so far i am really really impressed

I personnally worked on the design of a terrific accurate belt clip and hook just finished right now, ordered some machining for the prototype, and i will start the cuts for the other parts of prototype, have to buy a jeweller saw.

if Derrek wants the prop shop photos they hosted on their site, i have them backed up and can supply them if needed

It is definitely not make or break for me but you are right it would be really nice. I wasn't sure when this was closing up. I thought we had more time. If it is close to being over yes please sign me up for an unpainted saber! I definitely don't want to miss out. I'll fill out the form here real soon if that is the case.

I've spoken to another business guy here in Germany who has spoken to the tax office and said that it won't work in this case. The only way to make it work without paying VAT is to have them officially exported via an exporter. I take his word for it because he has been doing business in Germany internationally for quite a while. At the same time I will also talk to the tax office myself, just incase. So still no final answer just yet.

Does anyone know if the V2 saber would fit in one of the master replicas cases?

The standard MR case from the LE/SE sabers? The V1 fits, butt he V2... not 100% sure yet. Once the protos are in hand I'll be posting some size comparisons and general measurements.

Thats absolutely right. Having the protos in hand will be the very key piece of this.

Almost the end of CHinese New Year, then will have the protos coming to me.

I'll keep the list open until I have them in hand, reviewed and full details posted here. Though it will close very shortly after the protos are posted. Because I want them to start machining as soon as possible.

I understand that, no problem there.

So the news to date is that I had expected to start machining the prototypes already. However during the 2 weeks the shop was out I had time to run the design by a few trusted folks for thoughts on the accuracy and there has been a few minor mm type detail changes that have kept me and the machinist busy.

Right now we're finalizing up modification to the brass clip section. Some new details have been released that have allowed us to ensure a very high level of accuracy for the part.

There have been quite a few changes to the brass clip as well as the belt side of the holster/clip. Some pretty dramatic accuracy improvements and not only sizing. Meticulously researched and prototyped by @parfaitelumiere; this one will prove to be the last belt clip you'll ever need to own.

Because of this I will be also offering a run of these new saber holsters to the Saber buyers, and a full set for those who want to make their own builds more accurate.

Once the design for the holster/clip is finalized I will be releasing information on how to join a run of this new holster, or how to add this onto your existing V2 preorder.
