Phantasm fans -- I found something...

Hey guys, I just made an even better discovery this past weekend relating to this subject. I was shopping at my local Christmas Tree Shops store (it's a seasonal/variety store located in several states here in the U.S.), when I unexpectedly ran across these very same spheres being sold there. The difference is that these don't have any holes in them or any rods sticking out and appear to be made from the same material as the ones from Pier-1. I assume that they are also being sold for use as those 'gazing' ball lawn ornaments, even though they're not labeled as such. The best part is that they only cost $1.69 each, so I just had to buy a bunch. Go get some before the Tall Man does!

Hey folks, a little size info on the balls please? (Cue cries of "Biggest you've ever seen!" Sigh... ;) )

I'm in the UK, and I got no idea what softball size is! :confused Google search tells me about 4 1/2 inches (roughly 11-12cm?). Could someone give me the sphere diameter in millimeters or centimeters please? Thanks!

There are a few similar spheres on ebay & elsewhere at the mo, looking to get the right size.

I have the Phantasm 5-DVD 'sphere' set on the way:

I'm gonna make a pattern from those 'blades' and scale down to actual size.

BTW- has anyone actually dremelled their spheres yet?

Coz.

Bringing this thread back to life.....

I found a 12cm diameter stainless steel sphere at a local charity shop for 99p that I'm planning on converting into a Phantasm sphere. Does anyone make the blades/prongs, know where I can get some, or thinking about doing a run?

"4 1/2 inches (roughly 11-12cm?). Could someone give me the sphere diameter in millimeters or centimeters please? Thanks!" > Imperial to metric conversion is Imperial x 25.4. So, 4.5 inches = 114.3 mm.

Here is my PHANTASM display. Got these SPHERES off a guy on eBay YEARS ago. Absolute KILLER quality. Wish I could get more but have no idea who the seller was now. PHANTASM 1:18 SCALE CUDA also in the display:
