Pepsi is making Pepsi Perfect? BTTF

Definitely do not try this with a Mexican bottle, hot water out of a tap is enough to warp those (been there done that!) so 200 degree wax will totally destroy it......you have been warned!!!

How hot is melted wax?
Pretty hot but I have used it in real 20 oz plastic Coke bottles before... But that is sturdy plastic.

That is the thing, I have never held one of these new Pepsi perfects, so I don't know what the plastic feels like. It sounds like it is very thin and might not be the route to go.

What about that powder that is used for magic tricks. The stuff you put in a cup and when you pour water into the cup, it becomes jellified but not edible? Maybe see if you put dye in the water and mix it into the powder, that could work. Just a thought.

Thing is; jello/jelly = sugar. Sugar + air = mold and bacteria.

I wouldn't recommend putting in anything consumable if you break the original seal.

What would the self life be? Jelly intended for desserts will have sugar (and therefore a limited shelf life), but that video looked like a gelatin that simply set the liquid. Mind you, he used Coke, so yes sugar. Coke Zero might be a safer option or food colour in water.

Scientists use unflavored gelatin to grow bacteria in petri dishes. They normally add something extra to speed things along, but I wouldn't chance it.

Gelatin also melts when it gets too warm and can be liquified if any bacteria does somehow form in it.

Honestly I just wouldn't use anything remotely consumable or temporary. Probably better off with one of those craft water vase kits or something that'll set completely hard.

Yeah the rubber I make my clear soles from would be OK as well because it too does not really heat up and can be tinted. I would not bother making the thing solid either. As long as you can rotate the mixture up high enough to look full, it would be fine.
