I have a production made Slice and the pepsi perfect/ diet pepsi from Gary Weaver, which are slightly smaller than my Slice due to the mold, and this new bottle is far off. But I will probably try to get my hand on that version from Pepsi though, it sure is kinda cool they participating to this BTTF year. Pepsi was so big in the 80's. I'm glad they are playing the game.

Hi EmmainCandyloand,

Are you planning to sell one of your Slice bottles ?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Cheers,

For making an inaccurate glass Pepsi Perfect?...
Accurate or not, for me making it in glass for this price is a clear winner.
This is a timeless argument in this hobby. Do you want something accurate that looks like hell or an idealized prop that is more appealing to the eye?
For me, I'll take idealized all day long, baby!

I understand idealized. I love idealized props but a glass inaccurate shaped bottle is not idealized. An idealized version of this prop would be a 100% accurate shaped plastic bottle, made by Pepsi with the exact flip top straw lid and metalized logo.

So now that the Pepsi Perfects are in the $200 range - how much will they sell for once the other 6500 hit the streets?

I can't wait wait for the 21st - I'm so excited. I kinda wish I had to drink on the 21st though.

Well, I will go ahead and tell you my secret. JC Penny sells pilsner glasses that are almost the perfect shape. That's what I used.
In fact, they were on sale at the one where I'm from :D

Thanks. The guys in the U.S. Will be ok but in the UK I think that's the closest I've seen so far

I'd love to pick up one of those glasses, it's just the cap I'd have no idea on how to produce (and if my glass was a slightly different measurement etc)

I'd much prefer to spend money on making this than the Pepsi official one (that's if they will even ship outside the U.S., which I doubt [emoji20])

EDIT: after looking at the glass closer, it's not The same shape [emoji17]

I like the glass bottle, since its fan made and from some found parts, it gives the potential that anyone who wants to build one can go find parts and give it a go.

On the other hand, BTTF2 props are amazingly detailed and distinct, making accuracy very important (that goes for all props in general as well lol) A 100% accurate replica would be amazing, I just wish it were available for a large run for all of us here.

The 2011 MAGs were a small limited run so to speak, given the price. But the MP's, V2's and HC's made the MAG more available on a larger scale to more fans. I would hope that someone would make a large run of accurate bottles, heck Universal made the unbranded HC MAGs, they should do an unbranded flip top bottle and sell em for $20.15

So, here's a question I have to toss out there: Is it better to buy the very limited edition and official Pepsi Perfect or is it better to build a replica of it from the film? That's a question I've been asking myself (so far, I've already found a pilsner glass from the Goodwill, but its a Hard Rock Cafe San Francisco one, but I figured I could figure out how to make a mold of it and then go from there).

Everyone who seems personally offended that Pepsi didn't make a perfect replica, let's just remember that they never claimed this would be screen accurate or a perfect replica like both Mattel and eFX (or whomever has the flux capacitor license) did. This is just a replica bottle that happens to be made by the same company that supposedly made them in the universe of the movie.

...I also find it funny that the same people arguing about how inaccurate these are are also complaining that this isn't a wide release.

Make up your mind, either you want the bottle or you don't.

NO! I am right and you will bow down to what I believe to be true! ;)

Brad, The Awesome has spoken! I retract all I have said.
So he has said, so it shall be done!

If Yule Brynner were still alive, Brad, he would kick your ass! :lol

Hey there 001FAB, I've been out all day and just saw your message. Looks like I missed out on alot here. So it sounds like Funky Jedi got all the info for you already and invited him to the RPF if I read that right?... Thats cool! I hope you were able to get on his list to get a glass as well.

Is it these ones?
That one isn't tapered at the top. Try

It seems that's the one he used for his video since he used a different glass for his RPF thread. It's not screen accurate, but a glass replica looks very nice. Unfortunately, it seems the glass he used for his video is not being sold in JCPenney anymore. :(
Reverse image search shows all the other glasses posted itt are Libbey glasses.

[strike]By the way, searching for wheat glasses will result in more accurate glasses.[/strike] on second thought, no. no it won't. lol
