Pegasus getting Terminator license

That HK is about the size of the lackluster T:salvation one (it was actually the best of the toys they offered) that Playmates put out. Might even be a bit smaller than it but it is the right size for a display shelf.

But the salvation Hk doesn't have that nice 80's feel to it.

Makes you wonder why the Horizon kit, that was listed as 1/35, was 12 inches long. I much rather would have had a 12 inch kit....

Oh i agree the T salvation one was good for what it was but the chrome ones are always going to be the popular. Oh i can just imagine the smudges on the chrome pieces.

Is there an "official" size for the original HK? You never really see it next to a human for size reference and it has to cockpit for comparison. Maybe the size and scales are just best guesses?

We never saw those manipulator arms do anything. Seem almost useless like arms on a T-Rex.

When I got the HCG HK tank all my wife could say was.. Number Five is alive!

I think it's a design element left over from the robot Cameron designed for his early short film Xenogenesis.

I always thought the HKs were meant to have a crew when they were originally designed so i figured they were at least the size of a chopper.

Nothing in Salvation have any sort of feeling :sick and the only thing that feels even remotely Terminator-esque would be the T-800, for obvious reasons :p If they had been smart then they would have used Cameron's designed HK's.

They were designed and built by Skynet and seeing as how Cyberdyne made things fly without a pilot before the war, there is clearly no need for a cockpit much less a crew.

Arrived today. Only 69 parts so it's not a monster. Detail is alright.

I don't know if I'm going to chrome it or not but I want to do a dio for sure.

Thanks heaps for posting the pics. Would love to see progress pics if you get around to building it. Looks like a decent kit for the price.

The choice for me is to do it stand alone or in a diorama. I've been collecting bits, such as a couple 1/32 scale pickups to represent resistance fighter vehicles being chased by an HK. But there's a few other things I have to work out first before the full idea comes together to my liking.

For those that wanted it. First model I've done in years and it was a nice way to get back into building.

Size comparison next to a can and 1/35 figure.

The original Horizon Hunter Killer was also 1/35 scale. Plus it's been revealed that each kit will come with five T800 Endo's!

Sadly this turned out to be false. I don't know if they will do kits separately later or just axed the idea but no Endos here.:angry

If they were smart they would have made the tree connect to the insides of the parts so when they release the chromed version you won't mess it up when you clip it.
