Pegasus getting Terminator license

yeah yeah, starting from clean chrome to weathered down should look awesome. I've done the Alclad paint method and the chrome effect didn't last.
So nothing like a good chrome job to start with.

All depends how smooth the surface is, what type of primer you use, how many coats of Alclad, and if you use a clear coat or not.... and so on
How long did the chrome effect last with your method?

I'd be happy with a H-K paint job that makes it look like it's made out of actual metal and dirty.

No clear coat was probably my error, This was many years ago now, I think after a year the mirror effect vanished.

Lasted fairly long then I guess
Then you should be able to carefully buff it and get it shiny, then that will fade and you will either need to buff or apply more alclad

I saw those pics. I just wonder how you can take the pieces off the frame without exposing the plastic bits underneath.

I don't have either kit, glad I waited, but with any chrome part, you may need to do some cleanup. It could also be hidden with creative weathering.

That's what I mentioned earlier. Gundam models did a metallic paint job on some kits and the sprues were on the inside so it wouldn't mess up the finish. Pegasus should have done something similar.

Not surprised by the price for the tank, plating and the large size of the HK tank is no small matter.
