for the spinners, you may need to open up the center hole a bit to allow it to touch the spokes towards the center of the hub. I think some of the guys here somehow dished the spinner in, mine are still flat, i did the same thing, three sets of tiny holes send wire through and twist. At you kind of have to do it by hand, i used some packaging clear coated wire, you can get it at hardware stores.

One thing guys, I ride my bike enough to get the spinner loosened over time, so its best to make the twisty part enough so you can go back in and give another tug if needed. Also I carry the bikes in the back of the truck in a bike stand with straps. the stand had two bars that are a bit narrower than the spinner width. the vinyl is toast and I may need to redo my spinners soon too.
