Honestly, I've never had any 'droop' issues and I make everything in PLA. For any large or long structure I always add an internal rod of some sort and for this since the skeleton only has to support itself I've made the infill as low as possible. The main support through the bottom of the scapula and the secondary support through the bottom of the left foot should be good enough but I'll see as I may need to add a clear acrylic rod to support the tail as it's 57" long by itself ...

Got more painting done ...
Both legs and feet are complete as is the main body and scapula ... used a matte clear to knock down some of the shine from the paints to give a more muted and modeled look

The skull and neck have the base coat of Krylon satin expresso but I'm having to do each different color in stages because I can't paint the entire piece (too big) at once so to ensure even coloration I'm having to let each layer dry overnight. Next up will be the Montana Gold chocolate followed by dusting with Kyrlon rustic orange and then the matte clear. Last pieces to paint are the tail and rib age and Then comes the fun part of assembling each major piece in the display location ...

This is just insane, I love it! The color variation and highlights on ridges makes the pieces have that much more depth and realism.

For sure. One of the things I did before going too far with this was to ensure I could fit where I wanted to ...I had to rearrange my cosplay room to clear out one side of the room. Things on the wall were high enough not to need to be moved but I had my Callahan Fullbore Autolock and x-40 cobalt ion pulse rifle on short tables that needed to be relocated ....

Thx! I was originally going to use an airbrush but quickly realized it would take forever and so I reverted to rattle cans which meant a bunch of testing and practice to achieve the right look ...I could have still used an airbrush for the final highlights layer but that would have involved mixing paints and once I found that rustic orange in the rattle can that was the perfect color without having to mix up batches and try to get them all the same I just abandoned the airbrush altogether ...

Also got the first layer of paint completely covering the tail completed. Tomorrow I can start layering the other colors and once that it done I'll be able to clear enough space to paint the rib cage which is the last section that needs to be painted
