He's not a bad look alike, at least not in that picture. He should really work on that bike though.
I've made some progress on the saddlebags. I got the right side cleaned up and molded in silicone. The left side is being done now, I recast it in plaster so I can work on the master without fear of sanding through foam coat and ruining it. I'm hoping to have that one done by the end of the week, and then the top bag can be started. I'll put up some pictures soon if anyone cares.
P.S., Skillcrane, you're absolutely right. It's much better to buy the right parts the first time around, just like it's better to take the time to make your parts properly the first time too. Do it right, and take your time, it saves you time and money in the long run.
