I finally figured out the bearings!

Sure was hell hacksawing through the steering tube.
And so far, this is looking like it's gonna be one pretty bike:

That kind of reminds me of how I was thinking about somehow making metal bags. I was thinking about everything from pounding a sheet of metal into a mold to thinking about hydroforming. But I suppose that's for someone with much more experience for me. I'll stick to plastic for now.

My pinstripe tape is peeling at its ends, any way to tack it back down without re applying it?
Also, what's the best way to touch up spots where the paint has scraped off?

If it's peeling on the fenders, they recommend having an inch or so wrapped around the edge onto the inside of the fender.

That's what I've done on mine, but it's lifting on the fork and the frame.
