Grips, sprocket, and greenfield have arrived! Still waiting on the pinstripes though.

I drilled the holes in the grips, slid them on and installed the streamers!

Quick question. What are Lightning Darts going for these days? I'm thinking about selling mine since I doubt I'll ever put them on my bike.

Thanks droidboy! Last lightning darts I saw went for $250-$350. Just depends on the auction. I feel the same way.. I wanted some but I would be scared to ride it with them on.

Jeeze, i found Ruddigger a great deal on lightning darts, keep any eye on the classic bike boards. You can get them for about 100 bucks or less a set.

I posted ones a bit back that were $50 for the two, except they would need painting and there was some minor cracking.

Thanks guys for the tips. I'm going to go ahead and sell mine. I can't see ever riding on them, and i'm not sure I want to go through the hassle of creating a second set of wheels to change out for display.

I'm lucky now that I have the excuse to need an extra set of wheels around at all times due to all of the simultaneous builds I have going on, so I finally but the bullet & order a heavy duty wheel set to throw my rider tires onto. That way, if I need to try riding the X1 for fitting purposes, I can just slap those wheels on & go.

Speaking of, pics are behind a few days, but here's where I'm at on mine:



Since then, put the fillet & tiger siren back on the X1. The X2 has had temp bones put on its fillet, Persons clamp replaced, skull siren mounted. Working on getting flaps put on finally today & some more work done on the tanks. May also try to get the surfboards cut out for the chainguards as well if I have the time.

Thanks guys! Yeah, the white Messinger seat was a major pain to track down. Even has the diamond! Will have to take more pics in a couple days. Looks even better w/the skull siren & the new Persons clamp.

Been trying to get as much work on them done as possible, but I keep getting distracted w/the other bikes. 5 bikes in my living room alone at the moment that all want my attention.

I gave up looking for the correct white union pedals and white seat, i did a Dottie bike and wanted to use the white versions.

Unfortunately my pedals ended up not being 100% spot on, but close. They have those 45 degree angles at the end of the blocks like these:


Still have not found any proper square block pedals in white. I was considering molding a set, but decided I didn't need to be that anal-retentive on the X2. Chalked up to "artistic decisions".
