Pathetic Man-Child Destroys 2,387 Vintage Star Wars Figures

If he would have sold them for $1.00 a piece, he could have taken $2,000 and “found closure” on a cruise, or on a tropical beach... heck, if he is single, he could have spent an hour or two with a playboy model looking escort. Anything would have been better than this, lol.

That would be a good story. "Man sold 2,000 Star Wars figures to spend a night with Miss September." BTW, from what I've heard you can literally get a Playmate "escort". I read that several legit Playmates were perma-banned from the mansion in the early 2000s for having a side job...

I literally just vomited after watching that video, not only at the pure spite for such collectibles but at the pure stupidity at his idea... So many other ways to dispose of them and end up making a great memory for himself and or others, many others have already stated them so I will not repeat them. Just pure spite and stupidity in that video still sick to my stomach

As of tonight, he's got 410,000 hits on that video. To be fair, he's probably made 3x that amount in ad revenue at this point.

3x's $2,000 with a little over 400,000 views? Not really.
You make about $300.00 for 100,000 views - $3,000.00 for 1,000,000 views.
So in time he will make the amount he melted away, he is just not there quite yet.

I'm sure you're right about the numbers. I honestly have no idea how much people make off that many hits on their videos. It reminds me of all those videos in the same provocative theme, where people buy the new Galaxy or iPhone and destroy it for views.

That video made me cringe. What I wouldn't give to have some of my childhood toys back, not because of monetary potential value, but because of sentimental value.

This is just destruction for the sake of destruction. Closure? I doubt it. I doubt most of those figures were even owned by him. He spent good money on a commodity for the sake of destroying them for 'likes' on social media. It's pathetic.

My guess is that he rooted through the leftovers of what Goodwill (or similar) didn't or couldn't sell anymore and they gladly let him have them at pennies on the dollar for boxes full of them or for free for boxes full of them. He's still a few sammiches short of a picnic.

It’s a performance art piece.

That brick of Kenner schmutz can now be slid onto a brass pole, mounted to a wooden base, and sold for $10,000 at the next high-concept art auction.

The title of the piece: “Angst of the Man-Child” or “Let the past die...kill it if you have to”.

Brilliant!

He partly achieved what he wanted, we are talking about it.
