Any suggestions for determining the actual scale of the ROTJ throne. I have lots of great screen caps, but there really isn't anything to scale it accurately to determine its height or width. H-E-L-P :confused

I suppose the easiest way is to scale it against a person, if you know their height.

I don't have them but I have seen pics of the chair being carved. They're out there somewhere.

You could always get the gentle giant version and pull measurements off that. Someone here was duin theirs out of foam and hand carving it over a wood base. I believe there was one at one of the celebrations too.

Isn't there a light saber resting on the arm for some scenes?

Couldn't you scale off that?

There is, in fact, a Lightsaber resting on the left arm of the chair (Right when standing in front of it).

I took some pix of the EP3 prop chair that was used at the Today Show Halloween event this year. I do so wish I'd thought to hold a tape measure to it.

According to IMDB Ian's height is 5' 10" (1.78 m).

Thanks, I have came across the carving photos previously. They help but don't give me scale.

I looked that up as well. Which is perfect because I am 5-10 too. I can probably get pretty darn close to guessing the size, but I was hoping someone might know where to find measurements.

All we did was scale up the photos based on our leg height and how tall we were to teh seam of the chair. It turned out pretty decent. I know of some changes I would make when we make the next 2. If we still make them.
