Original 1977 ANH Stormtrooper Armor and Helmet

If you build it, they will pay.
I fully understand the excitement this helmet is causing. I'm not saying anything new here, but just the possibility of owning a helmet cast off a screen used ANH helmet is something many if us thought impossible. Yet here we are. For many of us, this will be the Holy Grail of our collection. However, like mic, I won't let my enthusiasm cloud my judgement. I am by no means saying that SI is anything less than legit, but the possibility exists that something could happen and this whole thing could fall through.

BTW, mic: LOVE the RPF racecar.

........Is there ANYONE here that can CONFIRM who this is, who is doing it and that they do have ANY experience doing it.
.....

I can confirm it. I have personally been in contact with the person(s) that will be casting these. I was actually working with this gentlemen on another project when this came to light. He has acknowledged that this will happen, but the timetable has not been determined yet.
He is NOT a member of this board, but is a VERY well respected member of another replica forum. He has years of experience with this type of reproduction, and I actually own a few of his replicas. Until I get his OK, it's not my place to name him.
I'm assuming that he'd prefer his IN-Box to remain clear for now. I don't want to over step my bounds, and **** anyone off, and then be denied this once in a lifetime chance. If I can add more detail later, I will surely do so.

If you're following this is close as we are Si-Man, THANKS!!

Helmets cast from originals have been around for a long time. It's the armor that's the bees knees in this set.

The silence is deafening.

It's like I'm waiting for Christmas, still hoping Santa is real! LOL!!!

I know real life gets in the way and you can't work on this 24/7. But it would be awesome to get just a written update on how the molding process is comming along? Were all just really excited to know! (I think it is safe to say everyone in this thread is on the same page! ;) )

Nah, some are on page 1, while others are slowly munching through the pages, and then some who vigilantly sit and watch the last page for updates. And then there are those who remain patient and let the guys post at their own time, when they have something to show off.

It's hard to be patient when this is the first thing in a few years that has REALLY gotten me excited SW-wise. :angel

And to be clear I am not wanting to rush them. Just hoping for a "things are looking good!" or some sort of word on how it's comming along. (y)thumbsup :)

Hey... I'm not one of the *waiting patiently until they show something* either. I get you.

I just take the silence as them working hard on getting things done and maybe taking a few days off with booze and chicks or what have you for some quality time relaxation from everyone hounding them for updates.

Don't worry Guys everything is in hand, it's going well and we have about a third of the armour done it's taking longer because i can only get to the studio at weekends but by the end of April I will be on this full time.
