Since it will come finished,did the costumer can ask specific helmet to be replicated? or its for additional cost?
by replicating it i mean not just the way it was painted,but also how the helmet trimmed etc

i thought These were Lenses

And these were Visors(filmsy)
(the one pictured is ESB,ANH is mostly squared and attached to both ear's bolts.........for the guys who don't know)

That first helmet is an ESB Mk II/ROTJ Background helmet. The last picture is an ESB helmet with the gel lighting sheet lens material.

It will be interesting to see which helmet they choose for a paint scheme for this helmet. The original looks like it had it's paint stripped off already so I guess that's out.

I am kind of glad the first run will be fully finished as I won't have the time to finish it myself anyway.

Just for a bit of clarity here.

You had said before you were using ABS for the helmets i presume you mean white ABS?

When you say hand painted do you mean just the frown, tube stripes and trap details hand painted? Or do you mean the white of the helmet will be painted as well?

He said earlier in this thread that moulds were cast from the 'inside ' of the helmet and that it would be made from ABS. If it were cast from the outside it wouldn't make sense to be using ABS, but rather fiberglass, which I hope is not the case.

Maybe Simon can re-clarify this.

Well I guess we can't get too picky, it is a screen used suit.
Though the inside would have been cool for the armor.

Yeah I can see that. It would be stupid to pull the leg and arm parts apart to mold the inside of them. I don't know if it would even be possible without ruining them. I can still handle the armor being cast from the outside. After all it's true ANH.

I'm in for a raw kit if u offer them.

Already have brow trim and a couple sets of cast off original hovi mic tips. Etc etc. I already have 1 Pre built helmet in my collection. Me personally I'm ONLY interested in a kit.

Really hope raw pulls of just the face, back and ears are available in the near future

Still very excited to SEE your buildups on these.

I confused on the word 'lens' and 'visor',
thougt Lenses were the one used for ROTJ helmets,ANH Hero etc....and Visors were the ones used for ANH/ESB stunts etc

Awsome Simon.I`m glad your going from the inside.I`m also glad your not damaging the suit to do it.I`m very interested to hear the process of how you did it without unglueing things.I was just thinking if it had to be outside molding in order to not damage the suit then that was fine but now I`m even more excited to hear this new news.
