Original 1977 ANH Stormtrooper Armor and Helmet

Sometimes I just have to sit back and wonder about what world some people live in...

Like everyone of course I would love to have a $100 Trooper bucket but seriously? You expect someone that has likely a one of a kind quarter million dollar suit of armor to do your bidding and make copies of what appears to be the best of the best offering and deliver it to you for $100?

The mere fact he is willing to even consider making copies and offering them at any price should be rewarded not insulted...

Why do people here think it's right to discuss what a vendor should charge for his wares? If Simon wants to charge a $1.00 or $1000 that is surely his decision. Not one of you have any place discussing what he should or shouldn't charge or what is fair or not.
Simon, charge what the hell you want it's your helmet.
One thing I will chime in on is I would preferred a kit un painted as I would definitely like to finish it myself. :)

^ Totally agreed....it's the WalMart mentality.

How about letting the OP determine the price he wants, then decide if you want to buy it. The market will dictate if he can sell them or not.

$100 per....*****.:rolleyes

I would be totally in for a kit, even a raw one with no lenses. So put my vote for one, if there's any poll to be made.

See, now i'm on the other end of the specturm here. I have very limited modeling skills and would prefer a completed kit. I'm more of a collector that a modeler. One would assume that if a completed kit is being offered, the worksmanship would be high end as well(at least higher end than a novice such as myelf could do).

Either way, it's a fantastic opportunity, and any kind of public offering would be greatly appreciated by all. Thanks Simon.

That's what I've been trying to say since page 12 :cry

If kits are offered I for one would like to see the brow trim, lenses and mic tips included if possible. Offering just a raw trimmed kit is fine and might be a little bit cheaper at first but then you still have to buy and source these items to finish the helmet anyway, so not much of a savings by not including them.

If the price is right, I would like a finished helmet, I don't know if I could do a kit from something this good justice. At the end of the day Simon will do what he feels is worth doing...but if it's kits only...I will still want one lol.

Yes but it takes the burden away from the guy making the pulls.

Lay too much on these guys and they fold the tents and disappear.

Why not make it easy for the guy?

There are plenty of people out there that can assemble it for you.

Best possible thing for the maker is cha-chunk, cha-chunk off the VF form machne, no trimming, stick it in a box. Fastest way to armor.

Of course THAT simplifies recasting.

There are pros and cons for every scenario.

these parts are easily obtained in the Stormtrooper Community, so its not such a big expense

Tk4510 is a 1 stop shop to finish off a helmet. The decals might fit a little different since he had measurements of the Brian and Dave helmet but he has alot on his site

I think most people are just scarred to have a go at the painted details but it's actually not that hard. Anyway the ANH details were mainly not that neat apart from a couple of exceptions.

The First run of Helmets will come fully made up with hovi mic tips which we've cast from this helmet they'll be hand painted include lenses and on a numbered stand.
