so i ran into some problems with translating the angled parts into flat parts. the problem is that i cant find out how long the pieces are, use illustrator. so either i need to take class or it doesnt have all the functions i need (feel free to let me know which is true). so i am going have to print out full scale pics and measure them by hand. so im getting really close to actual construction. hopefully ill start later tonight/tomorrow. any suggestions would be awesome.

ok so.. i started the helmet over, which means those new pics i put up are of the old one should be ignored. i decided to start over because it wouldnt fit me due to the way i constructed it, also i didnt scale it up enough. so i went back redid the templates and in one night i got further than did over two days with the old one. i would post some pics but i ran out of hot glue and its not in a very photogenic state. more pics coming tomorrow!!!!!:lol

Looks Great! I wasn't sure how or if you were planning on wearing the first version ... but this one should have plenty of room. I've built the pep one using Bollomonkey's file and had similar issues and ended up cutting out the side supports like you did.

I've always wanted to revisit this helmet and make it more accurate in line with the 20th Anniversary Prime just like you did but just haven't gotten around to it. I was thinking about doing it using Sintra or wood instead of paper and cardboard. When you're finished if you're willing to share your pattern I'd love a copy :love

most definitely. sharing is what makes this forum so good. and id love to see my designs being used. if u want the adobe illustrator file i have right now just send me a pm. the designs are not complete (ie the brim). and i you want the file on the templates i made just say so (i havent made any templates for any of the angled pieces yet).
