As far as only a $200 helmet that is a lame excuse. $200 for a plastic helmet is a lot and should be perfect. Like my EFX PCR Stormy. $200 and it is perfect. Sorry but a lower than whatever price is no excuse for bad quality.

I pre-ordered back in Sept at the reduced $200, was charged at that time, which I prefer because it was paid off right away. Received it couple weeks ago. Hopefully, I will hear back this week about return/exchange. I still got a strong craving for that Darth Vader fiberglass helmet coming up.

for those who have the helmet displayed inside a ikea detolf case how are you guys doing it?

I keep seeing pictures of it being displayed straight but when I try to fit the helmet inside mine it can only fit looking to the left or right due to the door not closing.

Maybe I just got lucky and they sent me mine by mistake...I asked them on their Facebook before I ordered and they said they were expecting to start shipping newer orders in mid to late January.

Does anyone else currently have this helmet and planning to return or exchange it? If so, have you started a ticket through their email system? I created a ticket during the holidays and was curious today to see any possible status. I understand today is usually the first day back for most businesses. Either way, when I enter my email and ticket number, an access link is supposed to be emailed to me to check my ticket status. Well, that was several hours ago and no email yet. Yes, I'm checking my junk folders.

Anyone else having this problem?

Same here.....I opened a ticket on 21/12/15 after getting a helmet with lots of defects. Reply received next day requesting some pic's of the stated defects. Since then no reply has been received. Like you I logged into my account to receive a link to view the ticket but nothing received. Therefore I opened a new ticket yesterday stating the previous ticket number. I haven't received anything back yet. Don't understand this ticket process...Don't know why people are waiting so long for a response as someone is on there facebook and twitter responding to all the usual questions. I'm in two minds about a helmet exchange though. Don't get me wrong i want a flawless helmet but I've already been stung with customs and tax's for £50 GBP and I don't really want a repeat of that fee with a potential exchange.

FedEx (bastards) broker fees 40$

Sure it´s all Fed Ex broker fees?

Usually i know this as a combination of Tax/Import fees, plus additional the broker fees. But most should be the money for the government. (Which would also happen when send from a private sender)

I used to get my hockey jerseys customized by a company in Canada (I live in the states). I had to return an item due to a mistake, and the company told me to write "return goods to Canada" on the package. They said it would prevent any additional charges for shipping between the two countries. Apparently it gave the impression that the item originated in Canada, thus nullifying the charges. I'm not saying this is exactly legal or anything, but I did this a couple times, and was never charged anything more than standard shipping costs. If anyone filters packages through a user here, writing this on the package may prevent additional costs.

Just received mine in the mail not 20 minutes ago, I'm sorely disappointed. I've been having the worst luck with TFA merch, first Sideshow sent me a defective Stormtrooper Hot Toy and now this helmet has a defective grille piece. The comments about their customer service have me kind of nervous too, I have emailed them and hopefully I will get a good response. I would try to fix the piece myself but I don't want to accidentally make it worse than it is.

Mine arrived today. Extremely happy with it. I don't mind how light it is and it is very comfortable to wear. Field of vision is decent and I can even fit my glasses in when I wear it. My only criticism is due to the injection molding process. There are some unclean parting lines from the mold. I can also see how it might crack if you dropped it hard enough, but even fiberglass wouldn't withstand a dead-drop to concrete.

I picked up my helmet from fed ex tonight and I must say I am very happy with the helmet. As soon as I took it out of the box I gave it a long scrutinizing look. Only at an exact angle in certain light could I see a very slight and I mean very slight ripple in the plastic near the chin. Nothing that bothered me at all. The seams look good. Visible lenses and a very high shine. The weight isn't much lighter (if any at all) than my GF anh trooper helmet or my RS Tie pilot helmet. I do feel fortunate to have received a nice copy of the first order helmet. All of the issues and defects that I have read about are very valid and hopefully get resolved in a timely manner for those of you involved. Here are 3 photos I took tonight with my iphone. Got mine yesterday. Great piece, especially for the price The details are sharp. It's light without feeling flimsy, and there is plenty of room for fans and electronics. No issues with mine that I can see. There is a SLIGHT fit problem right around the greeblie bit, but this appears to be a matter of design, not a defect, and it is not serious in my view. I was thinking I might get the premium line helmet, but no sure I need it. This one is pretty perfect for trooping, IMO. 4

Got my helmet a couple of days ago. I like it, but there are a few things wrong with it, not sure I want to deal with the hassle of a return though. Most notable thing is the 'mic jack' or whatever you want to call it.. theres a gap in there.. also a ding on the mouth guard area.. seems to be a consistent area to have issues from posts I've seen on various ANOVOS groups.. I imagine that its one of the shipping defects they're talking about.
