I've been spending quarantine setting up elaborate studio photoshoots of my replica props. This latest project is a bit more abstract, its an Old West poker game, as if my favorite old west time travellers came together and sat down to one game.
I wanted the composition to be initially eye pleasing, but if you spend time looking at it, nearly every item ties directly to one of the three adventures, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (in their poker game with Billy the Kid), Back to the Future III (the way Doc knew the old timers in the Saloon, I figured he may have played with them a few times), and Star Trek: The Next Generation's season 5 finale Time's Arrow (when Data suddenly appears in 1880's San Francisco and has no money so he starts playing poker)
Here is the composition. I printed this up 30x20" so it could hang in your game room or man cave.
I think it's fun, like Where's Waldo, to try and see if you can nab all the clues. But here is the definitive list:
It took awhile to track down as many props as I could, and I had fun putting together the composition. The lighting is supposed to look like a hanging saloon lantern (with a dark spot in the middle, directly below the lantern)
This is ultimately part of a series of my prop portraits. I've posted them on here, but you can see them all at once in this flickr Gallery
